One UI 9 Watch beta testing may begin soon with Galaxy AI enhancements

29 May 2026 at 16:41

Samsung is working on a new update for its smartwatches, One UI 9 Watch. This update is expected to first come as a beta version, which means it will be released for testing before the final version is ready.

According to the new information shared by TonyTech, the beta testing of One UI 9 Watch may start soon for Galaxy watches. It means that Samsung might soon let users try out new features and improvements ahead of the final stable release.

One UI 9 Watch will likely begin with newer models, including the Galaxy Watch 8 in South Korea and the United States. It might later expand to other regions and older watches.

The biggest change in One UI Watch 9 is expected to be smarter AI features, as per reports. With help from Galaxy AI, the watch may not only show health data like steps, heart rate, or sleep, but also explain what it means. For example, instead of just showing sleep hours, it may tell you if your sleep pattern is improving or getting worse.

Moreover, another important upgrade is related to health tracking. Samsung is said to be improving its BioActive sensor, which is used to measure things like heart rate and body activity. The update may also add new health measurements, although details are not fully known yet.

However, the beta testing may take a long time. In past updates, Samsung has tested new software for several months before releasing it to everyone. Because of this, users of older Galaxy Watches may have to wait longer to get the update.

The upcoming Galaxy Watch 9 series is expected to launch with One UI Watch 9 already installed. Ahead of that, One UI Watch 9 is reportedly moving forward with beta testing for Galaxy devices soon. Stay tuned for more information.
