Samsung introduces Fluid AI Design System; future of One UI? [Gallery]

14 July 2026 at 10:26

Samsung Fluid AI Design System is a new interface concept that combines AI agents with a generative UI to create screens that adapt in real time based on a user’s context and intent. While it’s only a design concept today, it offers one of the clearest hints yet at how future versions of One UI could evolve from app-based navigation to AI-driven experiences.

Unveiled as one of Samsung’s Red Dot Design Award 2026-winning concepts, Fluid AI Design System imagines a future where AI doesn’t simply live inside apps; instead, it becomes the interface itself.

What is Samsung Fluid AI Design System?

Samsung’s latest software concept isn’t a new version of One UI, nor is it a feature coming to Galaxy phones anytime soon. But if you’ve been paying attention to the company’s AI strategy over the past year, Fluid AI Design System might be the most revealing glimpse yet.

Samsung Fluid AI Design System

Samsung describes Fluid AI Design System as a concept that pairs an AI agent with a generative user interface, allowing the UI to reshape itself according to a user’s situation instead of relying on fixed screens and predefined layouts.

Rather than opening separate apps for navigation, calendar events, weather, or messages, information appears as floating cards that expand, shrink, and rearrange themselves depending on what you’re trying to accomplish.

One example shows a meeting reminder naturally paired with available free time and navigation, while another presents a date picker that morphs into a larger interactive element.

The concept images tell the story better than the description:

Could Samsung’s Fluid AI Design System become part of One UI?

Samsung hasn’t said whether Fluid AI Design System will make its way into One UI, and concepts like these rarely ship exactly as they’re shown. Still, it’s difficult to ignore the similarities with Samsung’s recent software direction.

Whether that vision arrives with One UI in the next few years is anyone’s guess.
