Qualcomm has announced that its new Snapdragon X2 Elite processor is used in Samsung’s latest AI laptop, the Galaxy Book 6 Edge. The new processor provides faster performance, better battery life, and advanced artificial intelligence features

The Snapdragon X2 Elite includes Qualcomm’s latest 3rd Generation Orion CPU, Adreno X2 graphics processor (GPU), and Hexagon AI processor (NPU). Together, these components help the laptop handle everyday tasks smoothly while also supporting powerful AI tools.

The main feature of the Snapdragon X2 Elite is the ability to perform up to 80 trillion AI operations per second (TOPS). This allows users to access AI features directly on the device without relying heavily on cloud services.

Samsung’s Galaxy Book 6 Edge comes with several useful AI tools, including AI Select and Intelligent search. AI Select can remove image backgrounds, translate text, and convert units, while Intelligent Search quickly finds files and settings. Also, Samsung Notes offers AI-powered summaries and translations.

The laptop features a Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen display that delivers bright and clear visuals. It also includes Vision Booster technology for automatically adjusting screen brightness and colors, and Anti-reflection technology helps improve visibility outdoors.

Samsung says the Galaxy Book 6 Edge can provide up to 22 hours of video playback on a single charge. The laptop is also lightweight, weighing only 1.55kg and measuring just 12.3mm thick, making it easy to carry.
