Then there’s the detail Samsung clearly wanted people to notice.

Among the visuals sits the phrase “Unfold Ultra.” It isn’t presented as the headline of the infographic, yet it isn’t hidden either. Anyone following Samsung’s recent teasers will recognize it immediately.

Samsung is reportedly finalizing the US prices for its Galaxy Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8, and Z Fold 8 Ultra. Rising component costs are set to hurt consumers this year, as a credible report sheds light on the potential price hike.

According to SEDaily, Samsung is increasing prices for Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra in the US. While a final confirmation is awaited, the possible price hike could weigh $100 for the base 256GB storage variant.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra may start at $2,099 in the US. This is the first time a foldable phone from Samsung could surpass the $2,000 range. Over the past years, the company’s foldables kept the starting price at $1,999.

The wide Galaxy Z Fold 8 could bring a price tag of $1,899. This is a new entrant, so there’s no natural predecessor for price comparison. However, it’s $100 cheaper than the Z Fold 7, and $200 cheaper than the Fold 8 Ultra.

256GB version is seeing a $100 increase, but the bigger storage variants could be even pricier. RAM and storage are grabbing a significant portion in BoM. As costs continue to jump, Samsung can no longer absorb the full crunch.

Market research firm Omdia reported that the share of memory costs within the total production cost of premium smartphones priced above $800 rose from 11 percent in Q3 2025 to 26 percent in Q1 2026.

A price hike seems unavoidable, so Samsung has focused more on software-driven advancements. The aim is to offer an experience never seen before, with One UI 9 and Gemini Intelligence playing a major role in this goal.

A new industry report reveals the Korean prices and release date of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8.

According to Bloter, Samsung will unveil its next-generation foldable phones on July 22 in London. Pre-orders in Korea could start on July 28 and run through August 3. Early-bird sales begin on August 4, followed by a general release.

Earlier, a retailer listing revealed that the launch will happen on July 22 and sales could begin on August 5. However, the Korean release dates are different, with public sale reportedly set to start on Friday, August 7.

The Bloter report also sheds light on the potential prices. Being a new entrant, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide) is away from the price increase debate. Meanwhile, the Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra could be seeing a price bump in Korea.
