Detroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh Named to All Lions Defensive Team Over the Last 20 Seasons

Alim McNeill and Ndamukong Suh were named as the best defensive lineman on the interior for Detroit over the last 20 years by profootballfocus.com. Suh was on the team from 2010-2014. This may feel like a surprise that he is mentioned on this team since he only played for them for a short period of time, but Suh was rather dominant.

Nathan Jahnke of profootballfocus.com said,

“While the offense would feature a dream pairing of Calvin Johnson and Amon-Ra St. Brown, the defense has its own offensive-line nightmare in Ndamukong Suh and Aidan Hutchinson.

The Lions’ offense and defense are particularly impressive, given that the team won only 12 games over the first four seasons of the PFF era. No one from the 2006 team is represented on offense or defense, and no one from the 2007 or 2008 defense made the roster.”

In five seasons with the Lions, Suh recorded 36 sacks as a defensive tackle and that is pretty impressive. After Detroit, he also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Miami Dolphins, the Los Angeles Rams, and the Philadelphia Eagles. Suh was also the defensive rookie of the year when he was with the Lions and also made it to four pro bowls with Detroit. His display in five seasons with the franchise is one of the reasons why he landed on this list here.
