Myles Garrett Trade Makes the LA Rams the NFL’s Most Dangerous Team in 2026

The Los Angeles Rams landingΒ  Cleveland Browns star pass-rusher Myles Garrett in a trade makes them the NFL’s most dangerous team in 2026 and the obvious front-runners for the Super Bowl.

Myles Garrett Trade Makes LA Rams NFL’s Most Dangerous Team in 2026

Β

The NFL world was turned on its head Monday afternoon when the Browns traded Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for Jared Verse and draft compensation. Garrett is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year and has been one of the best defensive players in the NFL for the past decade.

With the addition of Garrett, the Rams become the most lethal team for the 2026 season. The Rams already return last year’s MVP, Matthew Stafford, and also have offensive playmakers in Kyren Williams, Puka Nacua, and Davante Adams. Nacua was a finalist for Offensive Player of the Year last season, and Adams led the NFL in touchdowns. On top of returners from last season, the Rams traded for All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie this offseason. Before the Garrett trade, the Rams were already favorites to win the Super Bowl in 2026. Now, with the addition of Garrett along with their other moves this offseason, they are far and away the Super Bowl favorite now.

It’s one thing to have a ton of talent on the team, the talent has to manifest itself on the field, and the Rams have one of the better coaches in the NFL in Sean McVay, who can make it happen. The Rams have built their roster over the last couple of seasons to this moment, when they could swing this big trade.

Rams Offense Will Allow Garrett to Rush With Leads

Last season, the Rams had the best offense in the NFL. They led the NFL in points per game (30.5) and yards per game (394.6). Cleveland’s offense was second-worst in the NFL last season, averaging 16.4 points, and Garrett was able to break the all-time regular-season sack record despite seldom playing with a lead in Cleveland. For Garrett to essentially go from the bottom to the top in offensive production will do wonders for his down-to-down efficiency.

It will be fascinating to watch Garrett play on a team that will often be in neutral game scripts or ahead, which will give him more chances to rush the passer. When teams had second-half leads against the Browns, they often deferred to running the ball more to avoid limiting Garrett from reaching their quarterback.

Rams Hopeful To Win Second Super Bowl In LA

The Super Bowl will be in Los Angeles this coming season, as it was in 2021, when the Rams last won the Super Bowl. It’s clear the Rams are sending a message to the rest of the league that they feel it is their time again to be the first team to win two Super Bowls in their home stadium.

The Rams will be must-see TV this season, and with the schedule released a couple of weeks ago, they lead the NFL with the most prime-time games, six. With Stafford, McVay, and a defense that features the likes of Garrett and McDuffie, the Rams are all in.
