Hansi Flick’s Barcelona face fierce competition as Dusan Vlahovic reportedly weighs two major alternatives

13 February 2026 at 01:45
Amid the uncertainty surrounding Robert Lewandowski’s future, Barcelona reportedly target Dušan Vlahović as an attacking reinforcement. However, Hansi Flick might encounter challenges in securing his arrival, as the Serbian is supposedly considering two alternatives for his future.

Throughout the 2025–26 season, Barcelona have established themselves as one of the most potent attacking teams in the world. Despite this, Robert Lewandowski’s future has been in doubt, and he appears to be moving away from the club. Consequently, Dušan Vlahović’s potential arrival as a free agent has gained momentum. However, Hansi Flick might face challenges in securing his signing, as the Serbian forward reportedly considers two options for his future.

According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea are the favorites to sign Dušan Vlahović as a free agent, as the Serbian striker has long desired the experience of playing in the Premier League. However, an agreement between the two parties is not fully sealed, with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United also looking to secure his arrival for the 2026–27 season.

Despite interest from several Premier League clubs, Juventus still remain hopeful of securing Vlahović’s renewal. According to Daniele Longo, the Serbian forward is considering extending his contract with the Italian side. Even if the negotiations have been stalled for several months, Vlahovic maintains an excellent relationship with coach Luciano Spalletti and is excited about working alongside him, as reported by Giovanni Albanese.

Dušan Vlahović has yet to cement his status as one of Europe’s top strikers during his time at Juventus. While he consistently averages more than 15 goals per season, he hasn’t quite replicated the exceptional form he displayed at Fiorentina, where he eclipsed the 20-goal mark. Despite this, the Serbian forward remains a crucial asset in attack, sparking interest from numerous teams across Europe, such as Barcelona, who are closely monitoring his potential transfer.

Barcelona do not only keep Vlahovic as attacking option

Ferran Torres has demonstrated top form, yet Barcelona reportedly remain focused on strengthening their attack. With Lewandowski potentially leaving as a free agent, Hansi Flick might receive a marquee reinforcement to boost competition for the Spaniard. In that sense, Dušan Vlahović has emerged as a strong possibility, but given the complications surrounding his situation, they are supposedly considering other alternatives.

According to Diario Sport, Julián Alvarez is Barcelona’s top priority to strengthen their attack. Despite going around 100 days without scoring, the Atlético Madrid striker is seen as the ideal player for Hansi Flick’s team. However, he could be involved in a transfer worth more than €100 million, as he is a key player for Los Colchoneros. If the Argentine or Serbian are not signed, Robert Lewandowski could extend his contract for another year as a backup striker.

Why isn’t Robert Lewandowski playing today for Barcelona vs. Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey semifinal?

12 February 2026 at 23:55
Following their impressive winning streak, Barcelona now face Atlético Madrid in the Copa del Rey semifinal. Although Hansi Flick is without Raphinha and Marcus Rashford, he also caused surprise by leaving Robert Lewandowski out of the starting lineup.

While the defeat against Real Sociedad raised doubts among supporters, Barcelona managed to turn things around, stringing together six consecutive victories. As a result, they enter the Copa del Rey semifinal against Atlético Madrid as clear favorites. Unlike previous matches, however, the Blaugrana are dealing with the significant absences of Raphinha and Marcus Rashford. Even so, Hansi Flick stunned many by naming Robert Lewandowski on the bench.

Robert Lewandowski is in peak physical condition and even scored in the recent match against RCD Mallorca. However, coach Hansi Flick chose to start Ferran Torres instead, a decision seemingly based purely on tactics. Despite this, the Polish striker may still get playing time, as he sits on the bench, ready to leverage his experience and goal-scoring prowess to make a difference.

Although the Polish absence is surprising, Ferran Torres is a fairly safe bet, as he has been the team’s top scorer this season. In addition, the Spaniard offers ideal tactical flexibility to face Atlético Madrid’s strong defense, which is a real advantage. Furthermore, he played only a few minutes against Mallorca, so he is in better physical condition than Lewandowski, who has started two consecutive games.

Alongside the Spaniard, Hansi Flick has decided to rely on Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo in attack, seeking fluid movement up front to unsettle Atlético Madrid’s defenders. However, Barcelona will also place their hopes in Fermín López’s scoring ability, as he has netted 10 goals this season. With such impressive squad depth at his disposal, the Blaugranas should not face major obstacles in securing a place in the Copa del Rey final.

Robert Lewandowski could be facing his final season at Barcelona

Unlike previous seasons, Robert Lewandowski is no longer an undisputed starter at Barcelona. Alongside his physical issues, the veteran has experienced a drop in form, remaining far from the level he showed in earlier campaigns. As a result, the Blaugranas have delayed offering the Polish striker a contract renewal, even setting specific conditions to extend his deal.

Amid this uncertainty, his wife, Anna Lewandowska, made remarks suggesting that his time in Barcelona may be coming to an end. Nevertheless, the veteran has regained his scoring rhythm, attracting interest from several European clubs. Therefore, the Polish forward is expected to continue shining in front of goal, as he has reportedly received a formal offer from an MLS team ahead of the 2026–27 season.

Michael Carrick’s future on the brink as Manchester United suffer major blow with top coach renewing contract

12 February 2026 at 22:26
Despite Michael Carrick’s impressive level as interim coach, Manchester United remain attentive to appointing a permanent head coach. However, one of their main candidates has renewed his contract, bringing the Englishman closer to continuing in charge of the team.

Ruben Amorim’s departure may have been heavily criticized, but Manchester United have seemingly made the right call by turning to Michael Carrick. In his short time in charge, the Englishman has transformed the team’s reality, restoring its competitiveness. Despite this, the Red Devils remain attentive to several candidates to take over the squad. However, one of their main targets has renewed his contract, bringing Carrick even closer to continuing in the role.

Despite being strongly linked with Manchester United, Thomas Tuchel decided to renew his contract with the FA (Football Association), keeping him as England’s head coach until 2028. As a result, the Red Devils are forced to abandon the option of appointing the German as their manager after the 2026 World Cup, as he has expressed his desire to build a successful sporting project with the national team.

Although the German was Manchester United’s top priority, the club still maintains a list of alternatives ahead of the 2026–27 season. However, Luis Enrique, another leading candidate, has also reportedly ruled out a move to the team, choosing instead to focus on his successful tenure at PSG, according to the Daily Mirror. Therefore, the options of Roberto De Zerbi and Oliver Glasner now emerge as the only realistic ones.

Amidst the growing uncertainty surrounding the Red Devils, Michael Carrick’s prospects as a permanent head coach are gradually gaining momentum. According to Sky Sports, they have decided to invite the Englishman to be part of the list of candidates to coach the team. Although this may seem minor, it is a significant change, as he was not even considered an option. If the team continues to perform impressively, he could become the favorite candidate.

Michael Carrick attracts the attention of two Premier League teams

Despite not having extensive experience, Michael Carrick has managed to completely transform Manchester United. Not only has he managed to secure four wins in five games, but he has also managed to impose a clear style of play. Since the Englishman’s arrival, the team has regained defensive consistency and a brilliant midfield. As a result, the coach has attracted the attention of two Premier League teams, amid uncertainty over his future with the Red Devils.

According to Mike McGrath of The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur have identified Michael Carrick as one of the main candidates to manage the team, alongside Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto De Zerbi. At the same time, Crystal Palace are also keeping the Englishman among their top options, as head coach Oliver Glasner is set to leave as a free agent, reports FootballInsider. As a result, Red Devils’ uncertainty could also cost them the chance to secure Carrick.

Arda Güler breaks the silence on Real Madrid locker room bullying rumors with powerful statement

12 February 2026 at 20:55
With Alvaro Arbeloa's arrival, Real Madrid have maintained consistent results; however, issues in the midfield remain. Additionally, locker room tensions allegedly persist, with claims of Arda Guler being bullied. In response, the Turkish player has responded by publicly denying these rumors.

Álvaro Arbeloa promised to elevate Real Madrid, but they continue to raise serious doubts as they fail to shine in midfield. In addition, they were defeated by Benfica in their most recent UEFA Champions League match, leaving them in the playoffs. Alongside this, Los Blancos are still surrounded by rumors of issues in the dressing room, with alleged bullying of Arda Güler being the latest. In response, the Turkish player decided to break his silence on social media.

In a recent interview with Sports Digitale, Arda Guler’s former coach, Serhat Pekmezci, stated that the Turkish player was having problems in the Real Madrid dressing room. Arda Guler is being subjected to mobbing… The harassment came from the players; there is a group there that has not been able to accept Arda; unfortunately, they are players with very high egos. In light of these statements, the 20-year-old decided to deny the information.

“I have followed with sadness the recent public statements made by former scouting chief, Mr. Serhat Pekmezci… From my very first day, I have been warmly welcomed by everyone within this club, and I have always regarded this place as a family. I am extremely proud to be a Real Madrid player and wish to serve this badge for many years to come…I kindly ask that no attention be paid to any comments or reports written or spoken on this matter, Arda Guler posted, via Instagram.

Despite being just 20 years old, Arda has already managed to become one of the most used players at Real Madrid. Dismissing any rumor of dressing room issues, the Turkish star has established himself as one of the pillars of the club’s future, surpassing Brahim Díaz, Rodrygo Goes, and Franco Mastantuono in minutes played. Moreover, he has already cemented himself as a creative cornerstone of the team, contributing 12 assists and 3 goals in 35 appearances.

Arda Güler’s breakout could shake up Real Madrid’s attack

Throughout the 2025–26 season, Arda Güler has solidified his status as a key asset for Real Madrid, consistently featuring in the midfield and on the right wing. At just 20 years old, the Turkish star has already become a starter, demonstrating an impressive ability to make a difference on the field. While his goal-scoring may not be prolific, he leads the team in assists with 12. With his emergence, Los Blancos may consider making significant changes to their roster.

Rodrygo, Franco Mastantuono, and Brahim Díaz all share the same position as Arda Güler, creating certain complications. With the Turkish player now an undisputed starter in the team, Real Madrid could be forced to let one of these players leave. In that context, the Brazilian’s departure appears to be the most likely option, as it could generate a substantial transfer fee and allow him to pursue a more prominent role.

In case the Brazilian ultimately leaves the club, Real Madrid could find in Mastantuono, Brahim, and Güler an ideal level of versatility to shine in multiple roles. Whether in midfield, on either wing, or in attack, they could be key to ensuring smooth squad rotation while gaining significantly more prominence within the team.

Lamine Yamal’s Barcelona could lose key defensive star amid reported interest from two Premier League teams

12 February 2026 at 19:39
Barcelona have managed to reverse their poor start to the season, imposing a forceful offensive rhythm led by Lamine Yamal. However, their defensive problems could continue, as a defensive star is attracting the attention of two Premier League teams, raising doubts about his future.

Despite an inconsistent start to the season, Barcelona have managed to remain among the best teams in the world. Led by Lamine Yamal, they have managed to impose a brilliant offense. However, the Blaugranas continue to struggle defensively, as the departure of Iñigo Martinez has been quite noticeable. Additionally, one of the team’s defensive pillars has attracted the attention of two Premier League teams, causing uncertainty among fans.

According to Diario Sport, Jules Koundé has become one of the top priorities for Chelsea and Liverpool to strengthen their defensive line. With a contract running until 2030, the Frenchman would not leave Barcelona easily, as he is key for Hansi Flick and has a €1000 million release clause. While the Blues remain at the level of mere interest, the Reds are willing to offer €80 million for his transfer, reports the Daily Mail.

Even though the Frenchman arrived in Barcelona as one of the best center-backs in LaLiga, Xavi Hernández backed his transformation into a right-back. Far from being overwhelmed by the role, Koundé became one of the best in the world in that position, turning into an undisputed starter for coach Hansi Flick and the team’s second-most used player. For that reason, Jules is reportedly not willing to leave the club.

The Blaugranas are indeed targeting a reshuffle in their defensive line, as Iñigo Martínez’s departure has exposed inconsistencies within the team. Although Koundé’s exit could pave the way for that change, both Barcelona and the player remain reluctant about such a possibility. In light of this, the futures of Ronald Araújo and Andreas Christensen remain uncertain, as the club is reportedly pursuing a world-class left-profile center-back.

Barcelona star Jules Kounde

Barcelona have no reliable backup plan for Jules Kounde

Due to Jules Koundé’s dominant performances at right-back, the Frenchman was no longer considered an option at center-back. As a result, Barcelona chose not to pursue a reliable backup for him, leading to a heavy workload and significant minutes on his legs. However, the 27-year-old star has seen a dip in form, and many believe it is linked to the high volume of minutes he has played. Yet, they have still not managed to secure a dependable replacement.

Both Eric Garcia and Ronald Araujo have played as right-backs, but neither of them has been able to provide guarantees replacing Kounde. In view of this, the arrival of Joao Cancelo on loan midway through the season has been a lifesaver, as he has been able to give the Frenchman a rest. Despite this, the Portuguese player is unlikely to stay long term, as he is under contract with Al Hilal and Barcelona are reportedly unwilling to pay for his transfer.

Why aren’t Raphinha and Marcus Rashford playing today for Barcelona vs. Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey clash?

13 February 2026 at 00:06
Barcelona enter the Copa del Rey semifinals as clear favorites, having gone six consecutive matches unbeaten. However, Hansi Flick faces a significant challenge, as he will be unable to rely on either Raphinha or Marcus Rashford for the clash against Atlético Madrid.

Setting a high offensive tempo, Barcelona arrive in top form for their clash against Atlético Madrid. At the same time, they have regained defensive solidity by relying on Eric García and Pau Cubarsí at the back. While this could make them clear favorites, the Blaugranas head into the Copa del Rey semifinals without Raphinha and Marcus Rashford, forcing Hansi Flick to make adjustments to his lineup.

After missing the entire week of training, Raphinha has been ruled out of Hansi Flick’s roster due to a specific muscle overload that prevents him from running and changing direction, according to Víctor Navarro. To avoid a relapse of the thigh issue that has affected him throughout the season, Barcelona have decided to leave him out of the match against Atlético Madrid, aiming to have him at his best for the final stretch of the campaign.

Alongside the Brazilian’s absence, the Blaugranas also announced that Marcus Rashford will miss out after skipping the team’s latest training session. Following the game against RCD Mallorca, the Englishman has experienced pain in his left knee. While it is not considered a serious injury, the 28-year-old striker was left out of the squad as a precaution, as Hansi Flick did not believe he was fit to compete.

Despite these significant absences, Barcelona remain the favorite to clinch a spot in the Copa del Rey final. With strong squad depth, Hansi Flick can turn to Ferran Torres on the left wing, as he is also in excellent scoring form. In addition, Atlético Madrid are not in top shape, having won just two of their last six matches. Additionally, coach Diego Simeone will be without Johnny Cardoso and Pablo Barrios.

Los Colchoneros are coming off a surprising defeat against Real Betis, but they managed to showcase an imposing level in the Copa del Rey, winning 5–0 in their most recent match. Moreover, Atlético Madrid have consistently demonstrated strong competitiveness against Barcelona, so they cannot be ruled out. In addition, the outstanding form of Ademola Lookman and Julián Álvarez promises to make the difference against Barcelona.

Nevertheless, Hansi Flick has strong squad depth, allowing them to maintain a high level of competitiveness. Facing forced rotations, the coach could opt to pair Lamine Yamal with Ferran Torres and Dani Olmo, aiming to create a significant scoring impact.

Antonio Rüdiger could define his future as Real Madrid star reportedly draws attention from three Premier League teams

12 February 2026 at 02:00
Despite his imposing impact at Real Madrid, Antonio Rüdiger is reportedly heading toward an exit from the club at the end of the season. In light of this, the German defender is reportedly attracting interest from three Premier League teams.

After making a significant impact at Chelsea, Antonio Rüdiger established himself as the leader of Real Madrid‘s defense. His defensive prowess, strategic understanding, and experience played a crucial role in securing the 2024 UEFA Champions League title. However, he has faced a series of physical issues that have cast doubt on his future. With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, he reportedly attracts interest from three Premier League teams.

According to TEAMtalk, Antonio Rüdiger has not yet received a new contract offer from Real Madrid, prompting the veteran to consider his future. As a result, he is reportedly open to a return to the Premier League. After shining at Chelsea, the German defender is well regarded by Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace, and West Ham as a potential leader of their backline. However, he has not reached an agreement with any of those clubs so far.

Even though he once became a key figure at Real Madrid, Rüdiger has suffered a torn lateral meniscus along with thigh and knee injuries that have affected his continuity over the past two seasons. In addition, the emergence of Dean Huijsen and Raul Asencio has slowed down contract renewal talks, as the club is aiming to sign a younger replacement. Nonetheless, the veteran remains a key asset for coach Alvaro Arbeloa, covering Eder Militao’s injury.

Heading into the final stretch of the season, Real Madrid are aiming to help Antonio Rüdiger regain his best form, as he is coming off a knee injury and was benched in the previous match against Valencia. According to Diario AS, Los Blancos want the German to be in peak physical condition to face Benfica on February 17, as his experience could prove decisive alongside Dean Huijsen.

Real Madrid reportedly chase a revolution in their defensive line

Although Real Madrid managed to dominate European soccer with Antonio Rüdiger and Éder Militão anchoring the defense, both players have dealt with serious physical issues that have limited the team’s overall performance. Moreover, the emergence of Raúl Asencio and Dean Huijsen has not been enough able to replicate the same defensive solidity. With this in mind, Los Blancos are reportedly planning a drastic overhaul of their backline.

According to Spanish media reports, Real Madrid are not only considering Rüdiger’s departure, but also those of David Alaba and Dani Carvajal. While they have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign Nico Schlotterbeck ahead of Barcelona, Los Blancos would back the continuity of Trent Alexander-Arnold and David Jiménez at right-back. With this approach, the club aims to restore its defensive consistency.

Arne Slot delivers bold take on his potential dismissal from Liverpool: ‘The circumstances are sometimes taken into account’

12 February 2026 at 00:28
Despite their multimillion-dollar signings, Liverpool have struggled to deliver their best performance this season. Consequently, several reports have questioned Arne Slot's future, leading him to address the situation with a strong statement.

After securing the 2024–25 Premier League title, Arne Slot promised an impressive season for the Reds, with numerous reinforcements to ensure consistency and long-term sustainability for the team. However, Liverpool have faced a challenging campaign, with a series of poor results casting doubt on the Dutchman’s future. In response, Slot decided to break his silence and address the possibility of his dismissal.

In the latest press conference, Arne Slot was asked if failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League would lead to his dismissal. He responded: “I don’t decide on my future… Maybe somewhere else it is not only about results, but mainly. And at some clubs they also look at the progress the players make, the progress the team makes, the circumstances are sometimes taken into account…I think I am working at a club that does look at those things.”

Far from competing for the Premier League title again, the Reds currently sit sixth in the standings, outside of all European competitions. Although they do not appear to have major issues within the squad, they have won just one of their last five league matches. Moreover, Arne Slot has been unable to rely on a fully fit roster, with several players sidelined through injury, affecting the team’s consistency.

Unlike their league performance, Liverpool managed to secure their place in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 by finishing third in the standings. Arne Slot has managed to concede only eight goals, holding a better performance than teams such as Barcelona, Chelsea, and Manchester City. The season may be disappointing overall, but if the Dutchman manages to lead the Reds to the title, he will secure his future and a place in the team’s history.

Slot turmoil could derail Liverpool’s pursuit of Xabi Alonso

Despite the team’s poor performances, Liverpool decided to back Arne Slot’s continuity, aiming for improvement in the second half of the season. Following the emergence of Hugo Ekitike and Dominik Szoboszlai, the squad has shown overall progress, yet the Reds continue to deliver inconsistent results. With the club maintaining trust in the Dutch manager, they could risk missing the opportunity to pursue Xabi Alonso ahead of the 2026–27 season.

Throughout the season, Xabi Alonso has emerged as a strong candidate to take over as Liverpool’s head coach, having become available after his stint at Real Madrid. However, Manchester City have pushed him as their leading option to replace Pep Guardiola, reports Christian Falk. Although the Spaniard is reportedly prioritizing the Reds, the club’s hesitation over Arne Slot until the end of the season could ultimately lead him to accept a potential offer from the Citizens.

Hansi Flick’s Barcelona could lose main target as Real Madrid reportedly lead race for €50 million star

12 February 2026 at 00:16
In light of their evident defensive problems, Barcelona are reportedly targeting a €50 million star. However, Hansi Flick has suffered a major setback, as Real Madrid have supposedly taken the lead in securing his arrival for the 2026–27 season.

Throughout the 2025–26 season, Barcelona have looked significantly weakened defensively, as the departure of Iñigo Martínez has left a delicate gap at the back. In response, Hansi Flick is reportedly pushing for a marquee defensive signing valued at €50 million. However, the Blaugrana could face a major setback, as Real Madrid have reportedly taken the lead in the race for his transfer for the next season.

According to BILD, Nico Schlotterbeck remains open to the possibility of renewing his contract with Borussia Dortmund. However, he is not entirely convinced due to what he sees as the team’s lack of ambition, which keeps his departure as a strong possibility. In that context, the German defender is reportedly only considering Real Madrid as a potential destination ahead of the 2026–27 season, ruling out any chance of joining Hansi Flick at Barcelona.

Even though the German defender is one of Real Madrid’s top priorities to strengthen their back line, he would not come cheaply from Borussia Dortmund. With a contract running until 2027, the German club would demand between €40–50 million for his transfer. However, Los Blancos are not solely focused on the 26-year-old star, as they are also evaluating Ibrahima Konaté as a potential free agent, viewing him as a strong option for the future.

As no agreement has yet been reached over his signing, Barcelona still keep Schlotterbeck among their defensive options. Given their defensive weaknesses, they would reportedly be willing to pay the €40–50 million fee for his transfer, as Hansi Flick supposedly views him as an ideal fit. With several months ahead, the Blaugranas still have time to try to convince the German defender to join the club for the 2026–27 season.

Not only Schlotterbeck: Barcelona reportedly target a Serie A star

Despite their interest in Nico Schlotterbeck, the growing pursuit from Real Madrid and the slow pace of negotiations have forced Barcelona to look towards other options to strengthen their defense. In their search for a left-sided center back, the Blaugranas have already turned their attention to a Serie A star as a potential reinforcement, pushing the possible arrival of the German defender into the background.

According to Matteo Moretto and José Álvarez on X (formerly Twitter), the Blaugrana have decided to prioritize the signing of Alessandro Bastoni from Inter Milan. With a contract running until 2028, the Italian could command a multimillion-dollar fee, as he is a key figure for his club. However, no negotiations have been opened between the two parties, creating uncertainty over his potential arrival, as Barcelona are reportedly in no rush to secure the deal.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s legacy questioned by ex-Real Madrid coach: ‘He doesn’t have the genius of Messi, Maradona or Ronaldo Nazario’

11 February 2026 at 21:15
By remaining one of the best players in the world for more than 15 years, Cristiano Ronaldo is considered the GOAT by many fans. However, a former Real Madrid coach questioned that stance, delivering a blunt statement.

Cristiano Ronaldo has firmly established himself as one of the greatest players in soccer history. Not only did he make history with Real Madrid, but he also left a significant mark with the Portugal national team as a prolific scorer. Over more than 15 years, he has maintained his status among the world’s elite, ascending to become a central figure in the GOAT debate. However, a former Real Madrid coach has recently challenged the veteran’s legacy with harsh remarks.

Cristiano is a great goalscorer and an incredible athlete, but he doesn’t have the genius of Messi, Maradona or Ronaldo Nazario. That genius that the others possessed is absent in Cristiano. He can’t be compared to those three, Fabio Capello said, via ON Sport’s ‘Hat-Trick’ program. With these statements, the Italian coach downplays the Portuguese spot as GOAT, highlighting a missing aspect on his legacy.

Throughout his professional career, Fabio Capello had two spells at Real Madrid (1996–97 and 2006–07), winning La Liga on both occasions. Despite this, the Italian has always been quite reluctant to label Cristiano Ronaldo as the GOAT. Nevertheless, the Portuguese forward is one of the greatest players in history, leaving behind an extraordinary scoring legacy that stands as a benchmark in modern soccer — something very difficult to overlook.

Even though Cristiano’s legacy is largely defined by his scoring power, he has also been a magical player. After his breakthrough at Manchester United, he established himself as a difference-maker in terms of dribbling, creativity and finishing — something he also showcased during his early years at Real Madrid. However, a chronic patellar tendinosis in his left knee in 2014 forced him to adapt his style of play, demonstrating an impressive resilience to continue shining.

Cristiano Ronaldo edges a long-lasting legacy in soccer history

Since his professional debut in 2003, Cristiano Ronaldo has managed to remain one of the best players in the world, season after season. After leaving a historic legacy at Manchester United, he completed a multimillion-dollar transfer to Real Madrid. Leading the team’s attack, the Portuguese star became one of the most decorated players in the club’s history and its all-time top scorer, but his legacy goes beyond that.

Although Portugal are one of the most historic national teams in the world, they had not managed to win any major titles. With Cristiano Ronaldo at the forefront, they won UEFA Euro 2016 and two UEFA Nations League titles. In addition, the veteran has established himself as the national team’s all-time top scorer with 143 goals, creating a significant gap between himself and legends such as Eusébio and Pauleta.

Despite being 41 years old, Cristiano has managed to remain one of the world’s top scorers, shining at Al Nassr. For that reason, he is expected to be a key figure for Portugal at the 2026 World Cup, where he could break some interesting records. Whether as a historic scorer or as a Greatest of all Time, Ronaldo is already a historic figure in the history of soccer, at a level reached by very few players.

Spain handed crushing injury update before Finalissima vs. Lionel Messi’s Argentina, 2026 World Cup in doubt

11 February 2026 at 20:15
Even though they were in top form to face Lionel Messi's Argentina, Spain suffer an unexpected setback. After being ruled out of the Finalissima, a key player of the national team receives a pessimistic update on his recovery, raising doubts about his presence in the 2026 World Cup.

Despite losing the UEFA Nations League to Portugal, Spain have managed to remain one of the most imposing national teams in the world. Relying on a powerful attack and crucial control in midfield, they arrive in top form to face Lionel Messi’s Argentina in the Finalissima. However, they have suffered an unexpected setback, as they have received bad news regarding the recovery of a key player for the national team.

After suffering a fracture in his right foot against Manchester United, Mikel Merino underwent surgery on Monday, February 9, and will be sidelined for around four months. As a result, he is completely ruled out of the Finalissima vs. Argentina, with just over a month remaining before the match. However, Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta provided a concerning update on his recovery that raises significant doubt.

“The doctors are really happy with the way it went. Now, he starts a long process. You’re talking about bone healing, so you need to be patient and respect the timing. I am sure he is gonna do everything he possibly can to speed up that recovery. The time frames we are talking about are months. Whether it is three, four, or five months… we don’t know, Arteta revealed in the latest press conference.

Taking Mikel Arteta’s comments into account, Spain would have very slim chances of getting Merino back in time for the 2026 World Cup, as his return could come in early August 2026. While his presence in the Finalissima vs. Lionel Messi’s Argentina was already ruled out, they had hoped to have their top scorer from the UEFA European World Cup qualifiers available for the anticipated tournament. In light of this situation, Fermin López could earn a starting role.

Spain aim to bring back key stars for Finalissima vs. Argentina

Spain have managed to remain one of the national teams in the best form in the world, even qualifying as group winners in the UEFA European World Cup qualifiers. Despite this, Mikel Merino’s absence ahead of the Finalissima vs. Argentina raises considerable concern among fans, as he is key to the team’s style of play. Nevertheless, coach Luis de la Fuente expects to recover four players who missed the most recent matches.

Lamine Yamal, Pedri, and Dean Huijsen will all return in full shape for Spain to face Argentina on March 27. Although they are coming back from injuries, they will regain competitive rhythm with their respective clubs, making their presence in the Finalissima decisive. In addition, Rodrigo Hernández is also gradually recovering his best physical form, meaning Merino’s absence may not be felt as strongly.

Lamine Yamal continues to lose teammates as Barcelona confirm key absence vs. Atletico Madrid in Copa del Rey clash

11 February 2026 at 19:02
Despite Barcelona’s dominant form, they face a significant setback ahead of the Copa del Rey semifinals against Atlético Madrid. A key teammate of Lamine Yamal has missed the latest training session and been ruled out of the match, complicating Hansi Flick’s plan.

Barcelona have firmly established themselves as the in-form team in Spain, maintaining an impressive winning streak. They’ve also rediscovered their most potent attacking lineup, with Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal leading the charge. However, coach Hansi Flick faces a significant challenge. A key teammate of Lamine has been ruled out of the Copa del Rey semifinals against Atlético Madrid, complicating their path forward.

According to Barcelona on X (formerly Twitter), Marcus Rashford will be absent for the match against Atlético Madrid. After the most recent game against RCD Mallorca, the Englishman experienced knee pain. Although the injury does not appear to be serious, coach Hansi Flick revealed that the forward was not fit to play and leaving him out is a precautionary measure. His absence is a major blow for the Blaugranas, who are now short of attacking options.

Like the Englishman, Raphinha also missed Barcelona’s final training session before the Copa del Rey semifinals. Although he has not been ruled out, his presence in the starting lineup is unlikely, as he trained separately from the group. With Rashford sidelined and doubts surrounding the Brazilian, coach Hansi Flick will be forced to make significant adjustments to his squad, complicating his chances of defeating Atlético Madrid.

Unlike previous matches, the Blaugranas will likely rely on Ferran Torres as the left winger, leaving Robert Lewandowski as the only option at center forward. Due to Pedri’s absence, Dani Olmo will not be available as an attacking option, as he is expected to anchor the midfield alongside Frenkie de Jong. Despite these absences, Barcelona still boast strong squad depth, keeping them as favorites against Atlético Madrid.

Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid also face key absence setback

Atlético Madrid are not on a positive run of results, having won just two of their last five matches. In addition, coach Diego Simeone has not managed to find the ideal balance within the squad, raising doubts about their competitiveness. Like Barcelona, who are dealing with the absences of Raphinha and Rashford, Los Colchoneros are also facing the loss of a key player, creating uncertainty ahead of the Copa del Rey clash.

After suffering a muscle injury in the match against Real Betis, Pablo Barrios has been ruled out of Atlético Madrid vs. Barcelona, as he will be sidelined for a month. In response, coach Simeone stated that his absence is deeply felt, as he is their best midfielder and the central axis of the team. In his place, they could turn to Rodrigo Mendoza or Obed Vargas in an attempt to restore balance to the side.

Bruno Fernandes’ Manchester United face fierce threat as Manchester City reportedly enter race for $130 million star

11 February 2026 at 01:59
While Manchester United still compete to secure a UEFA Champions League spot, they're already eyeing a $130 million star to bolster Bruno Fernandes' midfield next season. Nonetheless, Manchester City have reportedly joined the race to sign him, complicating the Red Devils' plans.

After Michael Carrick’s impressive impact, Manchester United have emerged as one of the Premier League’s top-performing teams. With Bruno Fernandes at the helm, they currently rank in the top five of the standings. However, Carlos Casemiro’s departure at the end of the season has prompted them to target a midfielder valued at $130 million. Complicating the Red Devils’ plans, Manchester City have reportedly entered the race for his arrival.

In an effort to bolster consistency in their midfield, Manchester United have targeted Elliot Anderson as a potential key signing. Due to his impressive performances, Nottingham Forest reportedly demand £100 million (approximately $136 million) for his transfer. While the Red Devils are not rushing his signing, Manchester City are prepared to meet this substantial fee, viewing him as a pivotal player for the future, according to TEAMtalk.

While a move to Manchester City could be very appealing, Elliot Anderson may not have his place in the team fully guaranteed. With Rodri, Nico González, Tijjani Reijnders, and Phil Foden in the squad, the Englishman would not be a guaranteed starter under Pep Guardiola. As a highly rated young prospect, the 23-year-old would be seeking immediate prominence, especially as he is already an established Premier League star.

Unlike the Citizens, Elliot could be an undisputed starter at Manchester United. Having lost Carlos Casemiro, he would be the main bet in the midfield, alongside Kobbie Mainoo. Moreover, the Red Devils sports project has been strongly boosted by Michael Carrick’s arrival, making his adaptation easier. Nonetheless, they could need to secure their UEFA Champions League spot to secure the 23-year-old star arrival, as it is still the main difference with Pep Guardiola’s team.

Not only Elliot Anderson: Man United eye two other midfielders

Throughout the 2025–26 season, Manchester United have been determined to strengthen their midfield, as Manuel Ugarte has failed to fully convince and Casemiro’s expected departure at the end of the campaign has accelerated this priority. While Elliot Anderson is reportedly the Red Devils’ top target, Manchester City’s alleged interest could complicate the operation. As a result, they are also looking at two other midfielders.

According to Sky Sport, the Red Devils have also included Carlos Baleba of Crystal Palace and Carlos Baleba of Brighton & Hove Albion on their list. Like Elliot, both midfielders could be involved in transfers exceeding $100 million, as they rank among the best in their position in the Premier League. For this reason, Manchester United may not rush to finalize their next signing, as they have alternatives if Anderson’s arrival does not materialize.

Kylian Mbappe faces extended blow as Real Madrid key star player could reportedly be sidelined for two months

11 February 2026 at 00:47
Despite Kylian Mbappé’s ability to lead Real Madrid through his goalscoring impact, the Spanish side are facing a major setback. Following a serious injury, one of Los Blancos’ key stars will reportedly be sidelined for around two months, leaving fans concerned.

Following Xabi Alonso’s dismissal and the uncertainty surrounding Álvaro Arbeloa, Kylian Mbappé has emerged as the undisputed leader of Los Blancos. Even so, the team is not at its best, as their style of play has failed to fully convince. On top of that, Real Madrid are dealing with the injury of one of their top players. Against all expectations, he is reportedly set to be sidelined for two months, leaving fans concerned.

After feeling a twinge in the opening minutes of Real Madrid’s game against Rayo Vallecano, Jude Bellingham left the game and was diagnosed with a semitendinosus muscle injury in his left leg. Although they decided not to publish an estimated return date for the Englishman, Diario AS reported that he would be out for a month. However, he could take up to two months to recover, leaving the team without one of its main stars, reports Ramon Alvarez de Mon.

Far from enjoying the best season of his career, Jude Bellingham has already suffered two injuries in the 2025–26 campaign, interrupting his progression. Additionally, his performances on the pitch have come under heavy criticism, as he is well below his best scoring average, with just six goals in 28 matches. Nevertheless, the Englishman had been a key player for Álvaro Arbeloa, playing a crucial role alongside Arda Güler.

In the absence of the Englishman, coach Arbeloa could opt to move Federico Valverde back into midfield, alongside Eduardo Camavinga and Aurélien Tchouaméni. As a result, Arda Güler would take on a more offensive role on the right flank, something that has already proven beneficial against Valencia. In addition, Real Madrid have recovered Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dani Carvajal, meaning the right-back position would no longer be a growing concern.

Brahim Diaz faces a defining chance to secure his place at Real Madrid

Throughout the 2025–26 season, Jude Bellingham has been heavily criticized, as he has lost his offensive influence. In addition, the Englishman has failed to make an impact from an organizational standpoint, raising serious doubts about his ability. With his reported two-month absence, Real Madrid would be forced to look for alternatives within their roster. For this reason, Brahim Díaz could be facing his best opportunity to secure a place in the rotation.

After shining at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with Morocco, Brahim Díaz returned to Real Madrid in top form. While he missed a decisive penalty in the final, he finished as the tournament’s top scorer with five goals. Despite having played just 600 minutes this season, the 26-year-old star could reclaim his place in the rotation ahead of Arda Güler, as he has proven to be a difference-maker in attack.

Mohamed Salah could replace Karim Benzema as Liverpool star reportedly nears Saudi Pro League move

10 February 2026 at 23:27
Despite Mohamed Salah having regained his prominence at Liverpool, he is reportedly eyeing a move away from the club. As a result, the Egyptian is said to be edging closer to a major Saudi Pro League side following Karim Benzema’s departure.

Following the drama surrounding Mohamed Salah, Arne Slot has restored him to the starting lineup in Liverpool’s most recent matches. However, the Egyptian’s future seems increasingly likely to move away from Anfield by the end of the season. In this context, the veteran is reportedly edging closer to a move to the Saudi Pro League, as Karim Benzema’s departure has opened the door for him to take on a leading role.

According to Santi Aouna of Footmercato, Al Ittihad are already in talks with Mohamed Salah’s agent to secure his arrival for the 2026–27 season. With the Egyptian still under contract at Liverpool until 2027, his departure could involve a transfer fee—something the club may be open to amid the issues they have experienced with the veteran this season. As a result, Salah could become the face of the Saudi Pro League.

Following the departures of N’Golo Kanté and Karim Benzema, Mohamed Salah could be offered an extremely high salary at Al Ittihad, valued at £400,000 per week (nearly $544,000 per week), reports the Daily Mirror. As a highly recognizable figure in the Middle East, the Egyptian’s arrival could have a significant cultural impact and head coach Sérgio Conceição would gain a prolific goalscoring figure, having lost his two biggest stars.

The Reds seem open to Mohamed Salah’s departure, but they would require a £30–50 million fee from a Saudi Pro League club to make it happen. With interest from Al Hilal and Al Qadsiah, Al Ittihad are moving quickly to finalize the operation, aiming to secure the Egyptian’s arrival for the 2026–27 season, according to Topskills Sports UK. Moreover, the veteran has supposedly already agreed to the proposal, leaving only the clubs to reach an agreement.

Liverpool face a major attacking shakeup as Salah’s exit looms

Throughout the 2025–26 season, Liverpool have experienced a rather particular offensive downturn, as the departure of Luis Díaz left the team without a true dribbling winger. Moreover, Mohamed Salah’s exit is approaching, which would leave the team without a range of wingers. In addition, the Reds are also looking to allow Federico Chiesa to leave for Serie A. For this reason, they are reportedly seeking to reinforce their offense.

According to several reports in England, the Reds are determined to target a dribbling winger to strengthen their offense. Backing the continuity of Dominik Szoboszlai as a right winger, they are instead looking toward Bradley Barcola or Yan Diomande to reinforce the left flank. With the sales of Chiesa and Salah, Liverpool could afford a move for either of the two stars, a deal that would exceed €100 million, TEAMtalk reports.

Lamine Yamal’s Barcelona reportedly face a major absence in training before Atletico Madrid Copa del Rey clash

10 February 2026 at 21:33
Despite regaining their winning consistency, Barcelona face a major setback ahead of their Copa del Rey clash against Atlético Madrid. A key Lamine Yamal’s teammate reportedly missed the team’s most recent group training session, raising doubts about his availability for the match.

Following a brief spell of inconsistent form, Lamine Yamal has managed to rediscover his best version, scoring in five consecutive matches. Thanks to his resurgence, Barcelona have regained winning consistency with six straight victories. Despite entering the Copa del Rey clash against Atlético Madrid as favorites, the Blaugranas have doubts over the availability of a key player after he missed the most recent training session.

According to Víctor Navarro on X, formerly Twitter, Raphinha has been training away from the group, something that has been usual since last week. The Brazilian has even stated that he is dealing with a specific overload that prevents him from running and changing direction. Despite this, he has not yet been ruled out of the match, as he could still take part in the final training session on February 11 ahead of the clash with Atlético Madrid.

Alongside his absence from Barcelona’s most recent training session, Raphinha chose to provide a somewhat confusing update on his recovery, casting doubt over his availability for the Copa del Rey semifinals. After suffering his third injury of the season, the Brazilian could start on the bench or even be left out of the squad altogether, as the club may be unwilling to risk a relapse given that he has gone just over a week without training with the group.

In the Brazilian’s uncertain presence, Hansi Flick may rely on Marcus Rashford, who has recently delivered impressive performances. Additionally, the coach might opt to position Ferran Torres as the left winger, capitalizing on his scoring prowess. Coupled with Raphinha, Pedri will be absent from Barcelona’s roster, making repeat the same strategy as in the latest game, featuring Dani Olmo in the central midfield.

Barcelona’s Hansi Flick welcomes back an important figure

After establishing winning consistency, Barcelona have managed to overcome the constant injury absences they have suffered this season. Without Pedri available and with Raphinha still a doubt, Hansi Flick has been able to maintain strong performances by relying on players such as Rashford, Marc Bernal, and Marc Casadó. In addition, the coach has welcomed back a key player ahead of the Copa del Rey semifinals.

Frenkie de Jong has rejoined Barcelona’s latest training session after recovering from his pubic issues. The Dutchman is now fully fit and primed to start against Atlético Madrid, according to Masquepelotas. With his return, the Blaugranas gain significant stability in midfield, as his partnership with Dani Olmo has been highly convincing in their pursuit of reaching the Copa del Rey final.

Cristiano Ronaldo could rejoin José Mourinho as the Portuguese coach reportedly eyes a surprising job after the 2026 World Cup

10 February 2026 at 20:25
Cristiano Ronaldo could reunite with José Mourinho several years after their time together at Real Madrid. After impressing at Benfica, the Portuguese coach is reportedly set to be offered an ambitious role following the 2026 World Cup.

Cristiano Ronaldo has continued to be one of the world’s top goalscorers even at the age of 41. Given this, the veteran is anticipated to be one of Portugal’s star players at the 2026 World Cup, maintaining his impressive scoring pace. Following the much-anticipated tournament, the forward might reunite with José Mourinho, 13 years after their tenure at Real Madrid, as the coach considers taking on an unexpected role.

According to ESPN, José Mourinho will be offered the chance to become Portugal’s head coach after the 2026 World Cup, as Roberto Martínez’s contract will expire. After several years without truly shining, the 63-year-old coach has managed to establish a solid sporting project at Benfica. For this reason, his departure would be far from straightforward, as he is under contract until 2027 and is viewed as a key figure in the club’s future plans.

Even though Mourinho has had many experiences with major teams in Europe, the 63-year-old coach has acknowledged his desire to coach in a UEFA Euro or World Cup: I want to play a European Championship or a World Cup and unite a country around a team, as I have already done many times with the clubs,” he said, via Corriere Dello Sport in 2024. Then, José confessed having rejected a Brazil coaching spot to just focus on Portugal, in a potential scenario.

Considering his desire, José Mourinho might not hesitate to accept a potential offer from Portugal. Given this, Benfica would seek to continue with their ambitious sporting project, betting on Ruben Amorim, reports ESPN. Although he was dismissed by Manchester United, the young Portuguese demonstrated impressive talent with Sporting Lisbon, developing several stars and imposing a recognized style of play.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Mourinho relationship may not be as chaotic

Upon arriving at Real Madrid in 2010, José Mourinho received strong backing from Cristiano Ronaldo in the dressing room. With that support, he established himself as the best manager in the world in 2012 by IFFHS. However, his departure from the Spanish club was surrounded by controversy, with reports suggesting a possible rift between the two. In response, a former member of the club’s coaching staff has clarified that this was not entirely the case.

In an interview on Cafelito with Josep Pedrerol, Aitor Karanka, former assistant coach, revealed details about the relationship between Mourinho and Cristiano: “In a Copa match against Valencia, Mourinho tells Cristiano off. And Cristiano responds in front of everyone: ‘After everything I’ve done to support you…’ Like a father to a son. Maybe José said it precisely to provoke that reaction. I’m telling you off in front of the entire dressing room because you’re the one I trust the most.

Alongside this, José Mourinho has always acknowledged Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the best players he has ever coached. Despite his tendency to make explosive statements, the manager has consistently made his admiration for the veteran clear. Moreover, the relationship between the two does not appear to have ended on bad terms, meaning a potential reunion in Portugal could prove positive, as both have established themselves as legends of the game.

Robert Lewandowski could already have a replacement as Barcelona reportedly close to securing Serie A star striker

10 February 2026 at 19:11
Despite his impressive current form, Robert Lewandowski is expected to leave Barcelona as a free agent. In fact, the Polish striker may already have a replacement lined up, as the Blaugranas are reportedly close to securing the signing of a Serie A star.

Robert Lewandowski has rediscovered his best scoring form, once again becoming a key figure in Barcelona’s recent matches. Despite this, the Polish striker is expected to leave as a free agent at the end of the season. As a result, Hansi Flick could receive a proven replacement up front, with the club emerging as frontrunners to secure the signing of a Serie A star ahead of the 2026–27 season.

In an interview with Tuttosport, Serbia’s fitness coach, Dusan Illic, suggested a likely destination for the striker after leaving Juventus: He’s going to Barça. That’s what I think. Before going to Juventus, he had the chance to play in Spain because he had an offer from Atlético, but he chose to stay in Italy. Now it’s different.” Although Illic’s statement was only a prediction, it might indicate Dusan Vlahovic‘s actual intentions as rumors of meetings have surfaced.

As rumors surrounding his potential move to Barcelona continue to grow, Dušan Vlahović appears far from having his future decided. While the Serbian striker is highly regarded by the Spanish side, his high wage demands significantly complicate a possible move, reports Marca journalist Diego Pico. Additionally, he has other options on the table, including growing interest from AC Milan, meaning he is in no rush to finalize his future.

Not only does Dušan Vlahović have several offers on the table, but Barcelona also have other options in attack. With Robert Lewandowski’s potential departure, the club have set their sights on Atlético Madrid’s Julián Álvarez as their top priority, reports Diario Sport. While a transfer could exceed €100 million, the Blaugranas could decide to pursue his signing if they manage to comply with LaLiga’s 1:1 rule in the near future.

Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic

Dusan Vlahovic’s recent performances raise concerns

Dušan Vlahović was once considered one of the most promising players in the world a few years ago. After scoring more than 20 goals in each of his final two seasons with Fiorentina, the Serbian striker completed an €83.5 million move to Juventus, who were looking for a natural goalscorer following Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure. Despite the high expectations, his performances disappointed many fans, raising doubts about whether he can rediscover his best form.

In his first full season with the Bianconeri, Vlahović scored just 14 goals in 42 matches, disappointing the fanbase. Far from improving his output, the Serbian striker only managed to reach 18 goals in his best season, falling short of replicating his goalscoring form at Fiorentina. Moreover, he has dealt with a series of injuries at Juventus that have prevented him from maintaining physical continuity.

Although Dusan has maintained an average of more than 15 goals per season at Juventus, Ferran Torres’ impressive performance could jeopardize his arrival at Barcelona. Unlike the Serbian, the Spaniard is enjoying his best season with the team, scoring 16 goals in 31 games. For this reason, betting on a high salary for Vlahovic may not be the Blaugranas’ best bet, forcing him to lower his expectations if he wants to sign for the Spanish side.

Michael Carrick receives stunning backing from two Manchester United stars amid his uncertain Premier League future

10 February 2026 at 02:36
Despite arriving at Manchester United amid considerable doubt, Michael Carrick has managed to surprise the entire fanbase with his performances. In fact, two key Red Devils players have decided to publicly back him to remain in charge.

After a disappointing start to the season, Manchester United decided to sack Rúben Amorim, leaving the team without clear direction. Amid mounting pressure, they chose to back Michael Carrick as interim coach. To everyone’s surprise, the Englishman has managed to establish an attractive sporting project in the Premier League, sparking optimism among the fans. In fact, two key Red Devils players have publicly voiced their support for a permanent role.

In an interview with TalkSport, Luke Shaw decided to acknowledge the impressive work Michael Carrick is doing at the Red Devils. “Michael Carrick has made lots of difference… But for me, the biggest one is he knows the club, and he knows exactly what’s needed to win football matches, to make everyone happy and to enjoy what we’re doing,” he said. With these statements, the Englishman offers solid support for Carrick’s potential continued tenure.

Joining the 30-year-old star, Bruno Fernandes decided also to publicly support Carrick’s tenure. “I think Michael came in with the right idea of giving the players the freedom to take responsibility on the pitch to do the decisions that were needed. I think he remembers what I told him the last time he was manager. I thought Michael could be a great manager and he’s just shown it,” he said, via TNT Sports.

Despite arriving amid considerable controversy, he has guided the Red Devils to four victories in the Premier League, a feat they hadn’t achieved in two years. Carrick has also implemented an offensive style of play while maintaining defensive consistency. With this, the Englishman has brought out the best in players like Kobbie Mainoo, Patrick Dorgu, and even Matheus Cunha.

Carrick could reject a permanent job at Man United, revels Gary Neville

Following Michael Carrick’s arrival, Manchester United appear close to securing UEFA Champions League places, representing a major step forward for the team after a poor start to the season. Due to his impact, he has received constant backing from several players and club legends in favor of him being appointed on a permanent basis. However, Gary Neville reveals that the coach could end up rejecting the opportunity to continue under certain circumstances.

According to Gary Neville on his podcast, Michael Carrick could consider turning down an offer from Manchester United to remain as the team’s head coach. Far from being a financial issue, the Englishman could make this decision if he feels the club’s front office does not view him as a long-term bet, especially as they continue to look at experienced names such as Thomas Tuchel, Oliver Glasner, or even Carlo Ancelotti.

Unlike the Ole Gunnar Solskjær era, Michael has managed to impose a clear structure at Manchester United. Through this, he has not only delivered strong results but has also implemented an attractive style of play that appears sustainable in the long term. Even so, the coach may require full backing from the Red Devils—support he would not have unless he is a direct bet by INEOS, which is precisely what the Englishman would be seeking.

Christian Pulisic’s AC Milan reportedly take decisive steps to signing a young striker for the 2026-27 season

10 February 2026 at 01:36
AC Milan have managed to remain quite competitive in Serie A, despite their clear offensive problems. In order to boost their performance in the 2026-27 season, they aims to reinforce Christian Pulisic's offense with a young striker, taking decisive steps to secure his arrival.

AC Milan have established themselves as one of the most consistent teams in Serie A. With just one league defeat, they remain very close to the top of the standings. However, despite Christian Pulisic’s level, the Rossoneri continue to face serious attacking issues that have prevented stronger performances. As a result, they are reportedly targeting a young striker as a marquee reinforcement, taking decisive steps toward his arrival.

According to Tuttosport, AC Milan have decided to pursue the signing of Moise Kean. Despite being in top form, Fiorentina may not have much leverage to retain him, as he has a €62 million release clause that can be activated in mid-July 2026. Additionally, Nicolò Schira reports that the Rossoneri sent a scout to the Fiorentina vs. Torino match to monitor the 25-year-old striker’s performance.

Since joining Fiorentina in 2024, Kean has managed to gain significant physical consistency, becoming a regular presence in the team’s lineups. The Italian has also scored 32 goals and provided six assists in 70 games. In addition, coach Massimiliano Allegri previously backed him during his time at Juventus, and Kean has shown clear maturity, leaving behind his off-the-pitch issues. Along with this, his youth and potential fit AC Milan’s requirements.

After several inconsistent seasons, Moise Kean rediscovered his best version with Fiorentina. He even joined Mateo Retegui and Lautaro Martínez as the only players to reach 25 goals over the last two Serie A seasons, as per Opta Paolo. As a result, the Italian is shaping up to be a solution to the lack of goals AC Milan have been suffering from in recent campaigns. However, his high release clause makes the Rossoneri approach his potential signing with caution.

Not only Kean: AC Milan also hold two other potential strikers

Even though Massimiliano Allegri has managed to provide AC Milan with significant stability, the team continues to struggle offensively. Early in the season, Santiago Giménez suffered an injury that kept him sidelined for several months. In addition, Christopher Nkunku has failed to impress with his performances, making a signing up front necessary. Alongside Kean, the Rossoneri reportedly have two other options under consideration.

As per to Tuttosport, the Rossoneri also have two other stars as potential reinforcements up front: Dušan Vlahović and Gabriel Jesus. However, the Serbian’s high salary demands raise doubts within the club, just as the Brazilian’s recurring injuries make them hesitant to bet on him. For this reason, Moise Kean appears to be the preferred option, although both alternatives remain on the table ahead of the 2026–27 season.

From being Lionel Messi’s heir to an uncertain future: Hansi Flick reportedly opts to sell Barcelona player for 2026-27

10 February 2026 at 00:16
Despite once being seen as Lionel Messi’s heir at Barcelona, Hansi Flick has reportedly decided to sell him ahead of the 2026–27 season. For that reason, the young player could face an uncertain future after several issues in recent years.

Hansi Flick has managed to elevate Barcelona into one of the best teams in the world, turning around a difficult start to the season. While there are still plenty of matches ahead, the coach is already planning the squad for the 2026–27 campaign. With this in mind, a young forward who was once seen as Lionel Messi’s heir could leave the club, as the German has decided not to count on his services, leaving his future highly uncertain.

According to El Nacional.Cat, Hansi Flick has decided that Ansu Fati will not be part of Barcelona for the 2026–27 season. Despite being on loan at AS Monaco, his ongoing physical issues have prevented him from shining, leading the French club to rule out extending his stay. As a result, the coach has decided that the 23-year-old striker will not even take part in the team’s preseason, forcing a resolution to his departure in order to free up wage space.

While Ansu once became one of the most promising players in the world, he has failed to find continuity following his meniscus tear and ongoing knee problems. In fact, the Spaniard has now suffered injuries in five consecutive seasons, halting the progression that once promised to lead Barcelona’s attack. Moreover, Fati has also been unable to put his injury issues behind him, having already picked up two since arriving in France.

Although Ansu Fati continues to deal with physical problems, he has managed to impress at AS Monaco with his talent. Having played 18 matches, he already has eight goals, proving that his talent remains intact. Despite this, his high salary and physical inconsistencies make long-term continuity quite difficult. Nonetheless, Barcelona reportedly know they will not cash in on his services, suggesting they could look to terminate his contract by mutual agreement.

Barcelona could hold a shake-up as three-star players may leave

Barcelona have surprised most fans by committing to an attacking style of play that has propelled them into becoming one of the most exciting teams in the world. However, they are aiming to make several changes to the squad. While Ansu Fati is expected to be the first departure ahead of next season, Hansi Flick could also be open to letting three team stars leave as part of a generational rebuild to enhance the competitiveness.

According to Diario Sport, the Blaugranas are considering activating Wojciech Szczęsny’s €2 million release clause to free up salary space and place their bets on Diego Kochen. Additionally, they reportedly plan not to retain Joao Cancelo, who joined on loan from Al Hilal. Finally, Barcelona might decide against renewing Robert Lewandowski’s contract, with several reports suggesting they aim to sign a star striker and renew Ferran Torres.

Weston McKennie’s future is up for grabs as Juventus star draws strong interest across Serie A in a free agent move

9 February 2026 at 22:21
After shining at Juventus, Weston McKennie’s future has emerged as a major uncertainty. Amid delays in securing a contract renewal for the USMNT star, several Serie A clubs are reportedly monitoring his situation, with an eye on a potential free-agent move.

Weston McKennie has managed to surprise everyone by establishing himself as an undisputed starter at Juventus. Although previously a rotation player, Luciano Spalletti has brought out the best version of him. However, the USMNT star’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, making his renewal a priority for the Italian side. With delays in securing an agreement, several Serie A clubs are showing interest in signing him as a free agent.

According to Tuttosport, Inter Milan are monitoring a potential move for Weston McKennie, as he has yet to reach an agreement on a contract renewal with Juventus. Alongside the Nerazzurri, AS Roma and AC Milan have also joined the race for the USMNT star, who has become one of La Vecchia Signora’s key players thanks to his impressive versatility and defensive commitment, reports Calciomercato.

While the McKennie continues to attract interest from several clubs, Juventus remain determined to secure his contract renewal. Capitalizing on his strong relationship with Luciano Spalletti and his personal stability in Turin, the Bianconeri are eager to extend his contract, recognizing his importance to the team. Since the arrival of the Italian coach, he leads Serie A midfielders in goals across all competitions, with seven, as per Opta Paolo.

Having just a few months remaining on his contract, Weston McKennie is reportedly requesting a substantial pay increase to stay at Juventus. According to Nicolò Schira, the USMNT star desires a salary of €4.5 million per season, plus bonuses, along with a four-year contract. While these demands slightly exceed the Vecchia Signora’s initial plans, the club appears willing to meet them to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Not only McKennie: Juventus push to secure two key renewals

Following the arrival of Spalletti, Juventus have regained consistency in their results, establishing themselves among the top four teams in Serie A. The coach has not only improved the team’s overall performance but also pushed several players to reach their best, such as Weston McKennie. For this reason, the Bianconeri aim to renew the contracts of two key players to avoid future surprises and secure continuity.

According to Nicolò Schira, Juventus are looking to extend Khephren Thuram’s contract, securing his stay until 2030. With this deal, the Frenchman would earn €4 million per season, reflecting his growing importance within the squad. Alongside the midfielder, the Vecchia Signora are also seeking to extend Pierre Kalulu’s contract, pushing it beyond his current deal to 2029 and increasing his salary, reports Corriere dello Sport.

Arne Slot faces major attacking blow as Liverpool are reportedly open to letting a player go amid Serie A interest

9 February 2026 at 20:55
Throughout the season, Liverpool have struggled offensively, as injuries have affected several of their players. Despite this, coach Arne Slot could lose one member of his squad, as the Reds are reportedly open to his departure amid growing interest from Serie A clubs.

Amid the drama surrounding Mohamed Salah and the constant injuries to attacking players, Liverpool are enduring a difficult season. Nevertheless, they have managed to stabilize their performances and improve their attacking output. Looking ahead to the 2026–27 season, coach Arne Slot could lose an attacking player, as the Reds are open to letting him leave amid growing interest from Serie A teams.

According to CaughtOffSide, Liverpool would be open to letting Federico Chiesa leave due to his lack of prominence since his arrival. Rather than allowing him to depart as a free agent, they would seek a fee of €25–30 million, as his contract runs until 2028 and no extension is planned. As a result, Napoli and Juventus are keeping a close eye on a potential move, given the Italian’s impressive spell in Serie A.

Federico Chiesa has failed to secure a major role at Liverpool, netting five goals and providing five assists in 39 games. Following the knee injury he suffered during his time at Juventus, the Italian appears to be struggling to rediscover his best physical condition, even turning down call-ups with the national team in an effort to reach his optimal form. Nonetheless, Arne Slot has gradually been giving him more prominence within the rotation.

Speculation surrounding Federico Chiesa’s future has emerged more than once this season. During the opening stages of the 2026 winter transfer window, the Italian reportedly pushed for a return to Juventus. However, a spate of injuries prompted Liverpool to block any move for the winger. By contrast, a potential exit in the summer of 2026 would allow the Reds enough time to line up a replacement and reorganize their squad.

Liverpool reportedly push for a surprising return of Bundesliga star

Although Liverpool still have plenty of matches ahead to secure their place in the UEFA Champions League, they are already looking ahead to next season. With the potential departures of Mohamed Salah and Federico Chiesa, the Reds are targeting reinforcements for their defensive line. While they have already signed Jérémy Jacquet, coach Arne Slot could welcome the return of a player who is currently shining in the Bundesliga.

According to Footy Insider, the Reds are exploring the possibility of bringing back Jarell Quansah, who was sold to Bayer Leverkusen at the start of the 2025–26 season. After establishing himself as a rising star, Liverpool would be willing to trigger his £35 million buy-back clause (around $48 million) amid the potential departure of Ibrahima Konaté. As a result, the Englishman would have the chance to shine once again at his boyhood club and establish himself as a star.

Álvaro Arbeloa faces problems as a Real Madrid star is reportedly upset with his playing time amid his uncertain future

9 February 2026 at 19:37
Despite appearing to be the solution to Real Madrid’s problems, Álvaro Arbeloa continues to face issues in the dressing room. One of the team’s top players is reportedly unhappy with his lack of playing time amid an uncertain future.

Álvaro Arbeloa’s arrival appeared to be the solution to Los Blancos’ recent challenges under Xabi Alonso. While the coach has delivered solid results in several matches, reports indicate he continues to face issues within the dressing room. Following the game against Valencia CF, one of Real Madrid‘s key players has expressed dissatisfaction with his limited playing time, amid his uncertain future with the team ahead the 2026-27 season.

According to Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, Daniel Carvajal is reportedly very upset with Arbeloa over his lack of playing time, having not featured for a single minute in Real Madrid’s last four matches. Despite returning from a serious knee injury, the veteran has been training with the team for just over a month and was visibly frustrated during the post-match drills with fitness coach Antonio Pintus.

Far from creating drama, Arbeloa decided to break his silence after the most recent game, clarifying the situation with Carvajal: I see Dani getting better and better in training. I’m not going to take any risks with him. Inside the dressing room, I don’t need to explain his importance—he’s always the first to speak before matches, and it’s important to have a reference like him. I’m sure he’ll find his best level with patience and hard work. He’s getting closer to being more influential.”

Although coach Arbeloa sought to make it clear that there is no drama surrounding Dani Carvajal, the veteran faces significant competition for his starting spot. Like the Spaniard, Trent Alexander-Arnold has returned from injury and is pushing for prominence. The Englishman was even reportedly promised a key role for the remainder of the season, casting serious doubt over the 34-year-old right back’s place in the starting lineup.

Report: Dani Carvajal’s Real Madrid renewal is not guaranteed

Since rejoining Real Madrid in 2013, Dani Carvajal has solidified his status as a club legend. As a key figure in the team, he has contributed to winning six UEFA Champions League titles, five FIFA Club World Cups, and numerous other trophies. Owing to his immense importance to Los Blancos, the Spaniard has risen to the role of team captain. However, his contract is set to expire in June 2026, and his renewal is reportedly not entirely guaranteed.

According to The Athletic, Real Madrid have growing doubts about whether to offer Dani Carvajal a contract renewal. Unlike cases such as Toni Kroos or Luka Modrić, the Spaniard has not yet been left to decide for himself whether to stay or move on. In addition, the player’s camp reports that they are not entirely sure he wants to continue at the club, as his limited role has not been justified by coach Álvaro Arbeloa.

As a true Real Madrid legend, Dani Carvajal’s departure would come as a total surprise, given that he has shown he still has more than enough quality to play an important role in the team. For that reason, the veteran could attract significant interest from several European clubs after the 2026 World Cup. However, the situation surrounding the 34-year-old could take another turn and see him remain at the club, as a contract renewal has not yet been ruled out.

Christian Pulisic’s future remains uncertain as AC Milan star reportedly draws Premier League interest amid stalled renewal

9 February 2026 at 18:36
Christian Pulisic has established himself as one of AC Milan’s top players, emerging as an undisputed leader of the attack. However, his delayed contract renewal is reportedly attracting interest from a Premier League team ahead of the 2026–27 season.

Despite enduring a physically challenging season, Christian Pulisic has managed to establish himself as one of AC Milan’s standout players. After 20 appearances, the USMNT star has scored 10 goals, making him the team’s top scorer this season. Given his impressive form, the Rossoneri are aiming to renew his contract, but delays in reaching an agreement have reportedly attracted interest from a Premier League team ahead the 2026-27 season.

According to CalcioMercato, Tottenham Hotspur are showing strong interest in signing Christian Pulisic due to his current contractual situation. In light of this possibility, AC Milan have set a potential asking price of around €55 million for the USMNT star. Far from any advanced negotiations, the Premier League side are merely sounding out the player’s camp, seeking an initial approach.

The Rossoneri are not fully convinced about letting Pulisic go, as they believe a strong performance at the 2026 World Cup could further increase the USMNT star’s market value, CalcioMercato reports. In addition, they are working to finalize a contract extension before the end of the current season, as he is considered a cornerstone of the club’s sporting project, according to Corriere della Sera.

Under Massimiliano Allegri, Christian Pulisic has managed to develop into a well-rounded player at AC Milan. Not only does the USMNT star shine in terms of goal scoring, but he also stands out creatively, contributing to the collective play as a key piece. After his unsuccessful spell in the Premier League, he appears to have found his ideal environment to thrive with the Italian side, leaving behind the inconsistencies that once marked his performances.

Pulisic reportedly has a clear return date at AC Milan after injury

Christian Pulisic began the season in excellent form with AC Milan, raising expectations among the fans. However, the USMNT star has already suffered three physical setbacks this season, and bursitis has kept him sidelined since late January 2026. As a result of these issues, the Rossoneri have struggled to find their best attacking rhythm. That said, the 27-year-old star is believed to have a potential return date to action.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri expect Pulisic to complete full training sessions with the squad and are aiming for him to get minutes against Pisa on February 13. Even so, the USMNT star may need a few matches to recover his usual scoring touch—something AC Milan desperately need in their push for the Serie A title. Alongside him, Alexis Saelemaekers could also return to competitive action, providing a significant boost for Massimiliano Allegri.

Bruno Fernandes keeps edging his name at Manchester United by overtaking Ronaldo and David Beckham in major record

9 February 2026 at 02:34
Despite his future not being entirely clear, Bruno Fernandes continues to prove that he is already a Manchester United legend. After his brilliant performance against Tottenham Hotspur, the Portuguese midfielder managed to surpass David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo in a club record.

Bruno Fernandes has managed to establish himself as one of the most important players in Manchester United’s recent history. Despite the team’s inconsistent form, the Portuguese star continues to shine in every aspect with the Red Devils. After his outstanding performance against Tottenham Hotspur, the 31-year-old midfielder surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham in a key record for the English club.

According to OptaJoe, Bruno Fernandes has achieved 200 goal contributions after netting a goal in the latest game—comprising 104 goals and 96 assists—in just 314 games for Manchester United. With this accomplishment, the Portuguese midfielder surpassed David Beckham, who needed 393 games, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who required 339 games. However, the 31-year-old midfielder still trails Wayne Rooney, who tops the list by reaching this milestone in just 295 games.

With Michael Carrick’s arrival as interim coach, Bruno has regained his role as an attacking midfielder, allowing us to see him at his best. In the 2025-26 season, he has already scored six goals and provided 13 assists in 24 games, making him Manchester United‘s most productive player. Amidst the team’s inconsistent seasons, the Portuguese player has managed to remain one of the most important players in the Premier League, showcasing his imponent level.

Unlike previous seasons, Bruno Fernandes demonstrated in this current season that he is among the most complete players in the Premier League. While the Portuguese had already showcased his offensive prowess, Ruben Amorim played him alongside Casemiro in the base midfield, organizing the game and contributing to the defensive line. After shining in a rather dark era for the Red Devils, he has established himself as a legendary player.

Bruno publicly supports Carrick’s continuity at Manchester United

Ruben Amorim’s departure reportedly made Bruno Fernandes question his future at Manchester United. However, Michael Carrick has not only transformed the team’s situation but also elevated the performance of several players in the squad. As a result, the 31-year-old midfielder shifted from contemplating his departure to publicly supporting the interim coach ahead of the 2026–27 season.

“I think Michael came in with the right idea of giving the players the freedom to take responsibility on the pitch to do the decisions that were needed. I think he remembers what I told him the last time he was manager. I thought Michael could be a great manager and he’s just shown it…We hope we can help him even more so everyone can see we are good players. That’s why we are at Man United,” Bruno Fernandes said, via TNT Sports.

Although Carrick is doing an impressive job with the Red Devils, his continuity is not entirely defined. After the experience they had with Ole Gunnar Solskjær, they do not seem fully convinced about committing to an interim coach as head coach. In this context, Bruno’s public backing takes on great significance, as it could not only influence INEOS’ decision but also his own continuity heading into the 2026–27 season, something truly decisive.

Robert Lewandowski’s future seems far from Barcelona as the Polish star reportedly receives a formal MLS offer

9 February 2026 at 00:48
Despite Robert Lewandowski proving he is still in top form at Barcelona, the Polish striker could leave the club at the end of the season. In light of this, an MLS team has reportedly made a formal offer to secure the veteran’s arrival.

Robert Lewandowski has rediscovered his top form at the Blaugranas, consistently maintaining a strong scoring rate. As a result, he stands out as one of the team’s leading scorers in LaLiga. With his contract expiring at the end of the season, the Polish striker’s future has become a central topic, as Barcelona risk losing him on a free transfer. Amid this uncertainty, an MLS team has reportedly made a formal offer for the forward.

According to Nicolò Schira on X, formerly known as Twitter, Robert Lewandowski has received a formal offer from the Chicago Fire to join as a free agent for the 2026-27 season. Aware of the competition from European clubs and Saudi Arabia, the MLS side has decided to offer him a very lucrative two-year contract. With this move, the Polish striker could secure the stability he seeks in the final years of his career as he looks to define his future.

Even though Chicago Fire have begun to push strongly to secure Lewandowski’s signing, Barcelona are reportedly now open to offering the Polish striker a new contract under clear conditions. While the 37-year-old forward has expressed his desire to stay with the Spanish side, he would not have the same guarantees he would receive in MLS, where he would be a guaranteed starter and earn a high salary—something very few European clubs would be willing to offer him.

Lewandowski’s resurgence in Barcelona after tough season start

At the start of the 2025–26 season, Robert Lewandowski suffered a muscle injury that sidelined him for several matches. During that period, Barcelona placed their trust in Ferran Torres, who exceeded expectations with his performances. As a result, the Polish striker found himself no longer the undisputed starter, spending more time on the bench than usual and seeing his scoring average drop. Nevertheless, the 37-year-old has managed to rediscover his best form.

Rather than publicly complaining about his change in role, Lewandowski chose to keep working and make the most of the opportunities given to him by Hansi Flick. With this, he has established himself as the team’s third-highest scorer, surpassing Raphinha, Rashford, and Fermín López. Additionally, Lewandowski became only the third player in history, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, to score more than 10 goals in 15 or more consecutive seasons.

Given his impressive form, his potential departure from Barcelona could become a major issue. While Ferran Torres is performing well, the veteran has proven to be reliable in key moments, offering a consistent presence. Moreover, the reported offer from the Chicago Fire could tempt Lewandowski, as it would provide him with more playing time and a significant financial boost, leaving the Spanish side without a solid player in the scoring side.

Hansi Flick has already chosen his side as Barcelona could reportedly lose the German under one clear scenario

8 February 2026 at 22:20
Despite Hansi Flick’s imposing impact, the German’s continuity at Barcelona is not entirely secure. Amid growing uncertainty around the club, the coach could reportedly leave the team under a single, clear scenario.

Hansi Flick’s arrival has been completely transformative for Barcelona, pushing the team forward after the departure of Xavi Hernández. He not only renewed the playing style, but also elevated players such as Raphinha, Pedri, and Lamine Yamal, among others, to their best versions. While the German has expressed that he is quite happy at Barcelona, the coach could reportedly leave at the end of the season under a specific scenario, worrying the fans.

According to Marca, Hansi Flick could consider stepping down from the final year of his contract with Barcelona if Joan Laporta fails to win the upcoming presidential elections. While the other candidate, Víctor Font, supports the German’s continuity, he has stated that Deco would not remain as sporting director if he wins—something that is hard to understand for the coach, who has publicly praised the Portuguese executive’s work.

As a partner-owned club, Barcelona must elect a new president every six years. With the next elections scheduled for March 15, 2026, current president Joan Laporta is seeking re-election. To do so, he must resign promptly, as he cannot campaign while in charge of the team. Although no official candidates have been announced yet, Spanish media reports suggest that Víctor Font, Marc Ciria, Xavier Vilajoana, and Joan Camprubí Montal are also expected to run.

Hansi Flick, as per Marca, feels part of Joan Laporta’s candidacy and would be willing to publicly support him to win the elections. After the drama between Lionel Messi and the president, the German’s support would make all the difference in securing his second consecutive term. Having been central to the team’s revival, his opinion could influence the fans, who want him to stay with the team, something that is certain if Laporta wins the election again.

Barcelona’s president Joan Laporta wants to be reelected

Laporta’s tenure pulled Barcelona back from financial ruin

Joan Laporta’s presidency at Barcelona has been quite controversial, as it has been met with strong criticism. Both the appointment and resignation of Xavi Hernandez and the mishandling of Lionel Messi’s departure have been his most criticized points. In addition, he has failed to break the eleven-year drought since the last Champions League. However, the president made an impeccable squad renewal and saved the team from bankruptcy.

When he took over the team in March 2021, Laporta revealed that Barcelona were burdened with a net debt of €682 million and a net worth of -€451 million, while salaries consumed 103% of their income. Through strategic financial measures, Joan reduced the net debt to €469 million and brought salary expenses down to 54% of income, according to FC Barcelona. Although the Spanish side remains in debt, they now have more income to address immediate challenges.

By increasing Barcelona’s revenue and reducing salary expenses, Laporta managed to lead the team’s rebuilding process, with Mateu Alemany and Deco. They rejuvenated the squad, betting on players such as Pedri, Gavi, Lamine Yamal, and Cubarsi, while also increasing their competitiveness with Raphinha, Joan Garcia, Robert Lewandowski, and others. For this reason, he is seeking re-election to continue the project, aiming to win the UEFA Champions League again.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s drama reportedly pushes a Premier League star closer to a Saudi Pro League move in the 2026-27

8 February 2026 at 21:08
Following Al Nassr’s complicated transfer window, Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly threatening to leave the Saudi Pro League. Amid this drama involving the Portuguese star, a Premier League standout is reportedly moving closer to the league for the 2026–27 season.

After starting the 2025–26 season in top form, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr appeared to establish themselves as the clear favorites to win the league title. However, the Portuguese star’s future has taken an unexpected turn, as the alleged blocking of the club’s transfers has led him to consider leaving the Saudi Pro League. In light of this potential exit, a Premier League star is reportedly moving closer to the league for the 2026–27 season.

According to A Bola, Cristiano Ronaldo has grown frustrated with the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) for blocking the arrival of several reinforcements at Al Nassr, while Al Hilal secured the signings of multiple stars in the same transfer window. As a result, the Portuguese forward has already missed the team’s two most recent matches, applying pressure for a solution to the club’s issues or threatening to leave the Saudi Pro League in the summer.

Far from being alarmed by the potential departure of the Portuguese star, the Saudi Pro League is already searching for a replacement ahead of the 2026–27 season. According to the Daily Mirror, Mohamed Salah would be tempted with a move to the league, earning three times his current £400,000-a-week salary (nearly $544,000 per week) at Liverpool. With this move, the Egyptian would become the face of the league, after a successful tenure in the Premier League.

Being six years younger than Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah’s arrival in the Saudi Pro League could provide a boost for many years to come. In addition, the Egyptian could be a highly impactful signing on a cultural level, as he is a figure of great influence in the Middle East. However, replacing the Portuguese star’s scoring power and overall impact is far from easy, as he is a legendary figure and is on the verge of becoming Al Nassr’s all-time leading scorer.

Salah is coming off a season that raises doubts about his Saudi impact

Mohamed Salah emerged as one of the leading candidates for the 2025 Ballon d’Or thanks to his outstanding 2024–25 season. After playing 52 matches with Liverpool, he scored 34 goals and provided 23 assists. With that, the Egyptian led the Reds to the Premier League title, finishing as the league’s top scorer. However, his level of play this season raises serious doubts about his potential impact in the Saudi Pro League.

Unlike the previous campaign, Salah has lost his place as a regular starter with the Reds due to his poor form. After playing 24 matches, he has managed to score just six goals and register six assists, figures that are far from his statistics from last season. Because of this, his move to Saudi Arabia may not offer sufficient guarantees—something Cristiano Ronaldo continues to provide, as he remains one of the world’s top scorers.

Kylian Mbappé’s Real Madrid reportedly lock in their first two signings and a priority target in the midfield for 2026-27

8 February 2026 at 19:37
After a season marred by injuries and inconsistencies, Real Madrid have reportedly decided to bring back two-star players to strengthen the roster. Additionally, they are supposedly setting their sights on acquiring a star midfielder, reinforcing Kylian Mbappe for the 2026–27 season.

Despite Kylian Mbappe‘s impressive form, Real Madrid are having a rather difficult season, as injuries and inconsistencies have taken center stage for the team. In light of this, they are already looking ahead to the 2026-27 season, seeking to improve the quality of their roster. For this reason, Real Madrid have reportedly decided to bring back two players due to their impressive form. In addition, they are reportedly prioritizing the signing of a world-class midfielder.

According to José Félix Díaz of Diario AS, Real Madrid have already decided that Nico Paz, currently on loan at Como 1907, will return to the team ahead of next season. As a result, they have chosen to pay the €9 million required to activate his buy-back clause. Alongside the Argentine, Endrick will also return to the squad and will neither be loaned out nor sold, as the club believes his breakout at Olympique Lyon has been impressive.

Even though Real Madrid have reportedly decided on the comebacks of Endrick and Nico Paz, they are still pursuing PSG star Vitinha to strengthen their roster. Nonetheless, the Spanish side has chosen not to take any action to secure his arrival until the Portuguese midfielder indicates his intention to leave the French club. In case the 25-year-old decides not to move forward, Los Blancos have also targeted Kees Smit from AZ Alkmaar, reports José Félix Díaz of Diario AS.

Report: Real Madrid seek defensive reinforcements but face a tough call

Throughout the 2025–26 season, Real Madrid have faced defensive struggles due to multiple injuries to Éder Militão, Antonio Rüdiger, and David Alaba. Additionally, Dean Huijsen’s performance has drawn significant criticism. As a result, Los Blancos are reportedly committed to strengthening their back line, aiming for a radical transformation of their defensive unit. However, they confront a challenging decision in this endeavor.

According to BILD, Nico Schlotterbeck has become Real Madrid’s top priority to strengthen their defensive line. With his contract expiring in 2027, the German could leave Borussia Dortmund in a relatively straightforward manner, albeit for a high transfer fee. While there are reportedly other names on the list, such as Castello Lukeba or Ibrahima Konaté, they also have the option to activate the buy-back clause for Jacobo Ramón, who is shining at Como 1907.

Should Schlotterbeck, Lukeba, or Konaté arrive at Real Madrid, Jacobo Ramón’s return could be postponed until the 2027–28 season, as his buy-back option would still be available, reports Diario AS. However, they could risk losing the young Spaniard, as he is attracting interest from several top European clubs ahead of the 2026–27 season.

Endrick addresses surprising comparisons with Real Madrid legend Karim Benzema amid his stunning performances

6 February 2026 at 02:30
Despite failing to shine during his stint at Real Madrid, Endrick is showing an impressive impact at Olympique Lyon. As a result, the Brazilian has been constantly compared to Karim Benzema, prompting him to break his silence and make his stance clear.

While Endrick arrived at Real Madrid as a highly touted young prospect, he experienced a heavily criticized spell with the club. With only a marginal role in the squad, the Brazilian was sent out on loan to Olympique Lyon. Far from being a step backward, he managed to establish himself as a star with the team, standing out both as a scorer and a creator. As a result, he has been compared to Karim Benzema, prompting him to break his silence and make his stance clear.

Endrick has managed to recover his best form on loan at Olympique Lyon, but he has chosen to remain very cautious when it comes to comparisons with Benzema: “Being compared to him is very good for me because he is a great player and has been the best in the world… Karim is far above me and I hope things go very well for him at Al-Hilal. I am very happy to be here (Lyon), where Karim played, he said after the latest game.

Although Endrick has chosen to keep some distance from the French legend, the similarities in their playing styles are quite evident. Upon his arrival in Lyon, the Brazilian spoke about that resemblance: “I’m a number nine with the soul of a ten. I’ve admired Benzema since he played at Olympique Lyon… his style of play inspires me a lot.” With much still to prove, his impact on the French team already excites all the fans.

Just one month after his arrival at Olympique Lyon, Endrick has firmly established himself as a key starter under coach Paulo Fonseca. Capitalizing on his strong game awareness and tactical understanding, the Brazilian makes a significant impact both as a scorer and a creator, proving essential to the team’s collective play. In his first five games, he has scored five goals, showcasing his impressive talent.

Endrick may face an uphill battle for Real Madrid’s starting lineup

Recognizing his great potential, Real Madrid decided not to transfer Endrick, but instead to loan him to Olympique Lyon until the end of the season. There, the Brazilian has managed to prove that he has the talent to shine for many years with the Spanish side. However, securing a starting role at Los Blancos may not be easy for him, even if he puts together an outstanding season and/or stands out at the 2026 World Cup with Brazil.

With Kylian Mbappé as Real Madrid’s undisputed starting center forward, Endrick would have very few chances of taking the spot from the Frenchman, who is the cornerstone of the team and its top scorer. While they could theoretically play together as an attacking duo, that role is currently occupied by Vinícius Jr., effectively cutting off that possibility. For this reason, the 19-year-old striker could be forced to accept a substitute role, with limited minutes.

Kylian Mbappe could welcome a French star as Real Madrid reportedly set one condition to sign a Premier League star

6 February 2026 at 01:20
Following their serious defensive problems, Real Madrid would be open to reinforcing their defensive line. As a result, Kylian Mbappé could be joined by a French teammate who shines in the Premier League, as Los Blancos would be open to his arrival under a clear condition.

Throughout the 2025–26 season, Real Madrid have faced significant defensive challenges, with David Alaba, Éder Militão, and Antonio Rüdiger missing a considerable number of matches due to injuries. As a result, Kylian Mbappé’s team has been linked to several defenders for the upcoming season. Although a Premier League star was previously ruled out as a free agent, the Spanish are now reportedly reconsidering his arrival under one condition.

According to Rodra of ESPN, Real Madrid are determined to pursue the signing of a new center-back for the 2026–27 season. As a result, they could once again consider the arrival of Ibrahima Konaté as a free agent. However, Los Blancos are said to have set a key condition: The Frenchman must lower his hefty salary demands, something that reportedly prevented an agreement in recent weeks.

While Konaté has been one of Liverpool’s best players in recent years, the Frenchman has disappointed many fans with his level this season. He has not only shown worrying lapses in concentration, but has also made several mistakes in one-on-one situations. Because of this, his potential move to Real Madrid does not fully convince everyone, especially as the possible departures of David Alaba and Antonio Rüdiger would require a defender who is in peak form.

Having already signed Jérémy Jacquet for €63.60 million, Ibrahima Konaté’s tenure at Anfield appears set to close at the end of the 2025-26 season. Unlike a few weeks ago, the Frenchman does not have multiple options to join another club as a free agent due to his reportedly high salary demands. Consequently, Konaté might need to accept different terms to join Real Madrid, as a return to the Reds seems unlikely.

Report: Real Madrid also chase two other defenders, not just Konate

While Ibrahima Konaté could reportedly be included once again among Real Madrid’s potential targets, he is supposedly not the priority. Not only have his high salary but also his inconsistent performances at Liverpool raised doubts within the Spanish side. As a result, they have reportedly turned their attention to two other defenders ahead of the 2026–27 season, who generate far greater consensus.

Both Nico Schlotterbeck and Castello Lukeba have emerged as the best-positioned players thanks to reports from Juni Calafat’s scouting team, according to Rodra on ESPN. Unlike the Frenchman, both defenders could be involved in million-dollar transfers, as they have valid contracts with their teams. However, they are in top form and could bring more security to Real Madrid. In fact, the German defender is reportedly the Spanish side’s top priority.

Virgil van Dijk’s renewal in doubt as Arne Slot sparks alarm at Liverpool: ‘There is life for this club without Virgil’

Although Virgil van Dijk remains one of Liverpool's key players, he has not renewed his contract with the Reds. Rather than advocating for his contract renewal, Arne Slot offered a bold perspective on the Dutchman's possible departure, prompting concerns among fans.

Throughout the 2025–26 season, Liverpool have struggled significantly at the back, stringing together numerous defeats and defensive inconsistencies. With Ibrahima Konaté set to leave as a free agent, attention has turned to Virgil van Dijk and his future, as he is approaching the final year of his contract and has yet to renew it. Amid this situation, Arne Slot delivered a surprising take on the Dutchman’s departure, prompting concerns among fans.

At the last press conference, Arne Slot was asked if he had in mind a generational replacement for van Dijk. To this, the coach gave an emphatic answer: “We are aware of the fact that Virgil will not play for this club for 10 more years but he has a one-and-a-half year contract left so he will be with us for that period of time and maybe even longer… we know somewhere in the upcoming years there is life without Virgil…this club is not only thinking about short-term but mid-long term future.

Despite publicly opening the door to van Dijk’s continued presence, Slot took a realistic view of Liverpool’s plans, recognizing their intent to find a potential replacement for the Dutchman. They are considering both short-term and long-term strategies. For that reason, the arrivals of Giovanni Leoni for €31 million and Jérémy Jacquet for €63.6 million make a great deal of sense, as neither is over 20 years old and could lead the team in the future.

Virgil van Dijk remains a key figure at Liverpool, meaning his potential departure in 2027 could destabilize the sporting project. With Joe Gomez heading toward a transfer, the Dutchman would be the only experienced defender left in the squad, forcing the Reds to pursue a big-money signing. However, this also carries risks, as it would not guarantee that any replacement could offer what the 34-year-old star continues to provide both on the pitch and in the dressing room.

Not just van Dijk: Liverpool could lose two other legends in 2027

Following a successful era under Jürgen Klopp, Arne Slot has embarked on a complete overhaul of Liverpool’s sporting project. The departures of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luis Díaz, Jarell Quansah, and Darwin Núñez have already presented significant challenges in managing performance, despite substantial financial investment. Furthermore, the team may face the potential exit of two more Reds legends in 2027, beyond to Virgil van Dijk.

Like Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker and Mohamed Salah are also set to see their contracts with Liverpool expire in 2027. None of these three legends have made progress on a renewal, casting doubt over their future with the club. Losing such critical pillars of the Reds simultaneously could severely impact the team’s prospects, especially since most new signings are still in the adaptation phase and might not yet be performing at their peak.

Robert Lewandowski’s future take an unexpected turn as Barcelona reportedly changed their stance on his renewal

5 February 2026 at 21:55
Throughout the 2025–26 season, Robert Lewandowski’s future appeared quite distant from Barcelona. However, the Blaugranas have reportedly changed their stance on the Polish striker’s continuity, marking a radical shift in their plans ahead the 2026-27 season.

After standing out for several seasons in Barcelona, Robert Lewandowski has seen his importance in the lineup decline. In addition, he has failed to match the scoring pace of previous seasons, giving way to Ferran Torres, who seems to be winning the starting spot. Given this, the Pole seemed far from a renewal with Barcelona, as no agreement has been reached. However, they have reportedly changed their perspective on the striker’s future, surprising everyone.

With his contract expiring in June 2026, Robert Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, reportedly met with Barcelona to present the Pole’s interest in extending his deal with the club. While no definitive response was given, the Blaugranas had begun planning for the 2026–27 season without the striker in their plans, RAC1 reports. However, the future of the 37-year-old star may have taken a radical turn.

According to ESPN’s Samuel Marsden and Moisés Llorens, Barcelona are now open to offering Robert Lewandowski a contract extension. That said, the conditions would be different, with a reduced salary and a backup role. With this in mind, the Pole would have a chance to play at least one more season at the European elite level, while providing head coach Hansi Flick with the guarantees of an experienced profile.

Far from a potential Lewandowski renewal changing Barcelona’s plans, the club continue to explore several options. Sporting director Deco is keeping his eyes open for the signing of a star striker, with Julián Álvarez and Dušan Vlahović remaining his preferred targets, Samuel Marsden reports. With this in mind, both operations could materialize in an ideal way, strengthening the squad, but they would impact the future of one of Barcelona’s rising stars.

Lewandowski’s renewal could slam the door on Rashford at Barcelona

In case Robert Lewandowski extends his contract with Barcelona, the Pole would take on a secondary role within the team. Because of this, they could even push for the signing of a star striker, aiming to boost their attacking firepower. It would not close the door on Ferran Torres, as he is considered key and his renewal is reportedly on the way. Instead, it could shut the door on Marcus Rashford remaining with the Blaugranas.

With no room in the forward line, Ferran Torres could once again become an option on the left wing and even on the right wing, rotating with Raphinha and Lamine Yamal. By also keeping Roony Bardghji, signing the Englishman would no longer be an option, as all attacking spots would be filled. As a result, Rashford could be forced to return to Manchester United or seek regular playing time elsewhere.

Lionel Messi’s Argentina teammate on Barcelona and Atlético Madrid radar, post-2026 World Cup move eyed

5 February 2026 at 20:12
Lionel Messi has managed to lead Argentina into one of the best eras in their history, elevating them to the top national team in the world. Given this impressive level, one of his top teammates is drawing interest from Atlético Madrid and Barcelona for a potential post-2026 World Cup move.

Lionel Scaloni has successfully built a highly competitive roster with Argentina. Lionel Messi not only shines, but he is also supported by standout teammates like Rodrigo De Paul, Emiliano Martínez, and others, who excel in their respective positions and enhance the team’s overall competitiveness. One of the national team’s top players reportedly plans to leave his club post-2026 World Cup, attracting interest from Atlético Madrid and Barcelona.

Unlike in previous seasons, Cristian Romero has been critical of Tottenham Hotspur’s management. Following their 3-2 defeat to Brentford, the Argentine defender shared a blunt post on his Instagram account: In moments like this, there should be others who come out to speak, but they don’t. They only show up when things are going well.” With a negative streak in the current season, he could leave the team, with Atletico Madrid and Barcelona chasing his arrival.

Following four years of shining at Tottenham Hotspur, Cristian Romero has reportedly decided to leave the club. However, his exit could prove to be quite costly, as he is under contract until 2029 and remains a key piece of the team. In light of his potential departure from England, Atlético Madrid have reportedly identified him as a possible reinforcement, according to TyC Sports. Alongside Los Colchoneros, Barcelona have also listed him as an option, TEAMtalk reports.

While Hansi Flick has remained quiet on the Argentine star potential arrival, Diego Simeone has already spoken on Romero’s potential arrival. “Do I want Cuti Romero? Of course! He’s a great player,” he said, via DSports after a 4-0 defeat vs. PSG in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. Holding an aggressive approach in his defensive skills, Cristian Romero would be an ideal fit for Atlético Madrid, who have shined in previous years for their solidity in the backline.

Cristian Romero has emerged among the Premier League’s best defenders

After shining at Atalanta, Tottenham Hotspur decided to back his signing, paying €52 million for his transfer. While his excessive defensive aggression caused him several problems in his first season, Cristian Romero has already managed to control this approach, establishing himself as one of the most difficult defenders to beat. In addition, the 27-year-old star has emerged as the team’s undisputed leader, elevating it and becoming one of the Premier League’s reference figures.

Far from defensive solidity being his only trait, the Argentine is also known for being one of the defenders with the best ball progression, something that would make him an ideal fit in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona. Cristian Romero is even regularly compared to Virgil van Dijk, something that has reportedly caught the attention of several Premier League clubs that are also keeping a close eye on a potential move for the 2026–27 season.

USMNT star Weston McKennie earns award ahead of 2026 World Cup amid uncertainty over Juventus future

5 February 2026 at 18:51
Since Luciano Spalletti's arrival, Weston McKennie has emerged as a key player for the team. Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future at Juventus, USMNT star continues to shine and has earned an award that highlights his level ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Following Luciano Spalletti’s arrival, Juventus climbed back up to become one of the best teams in Italy, entering in the UEFA Champions League positions. Although Weston McKennie had a tough time earning a spot in the lineup, he has managed to become one of its most important players. While his future with the Vecchia Signora is not entirely certain, the USMNT star keeps shining, claiming an award that demonstrates his level ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Weston McKennie has been named Juventus’ Player of the Month for January, beating out Kenan Yildiz, Manuel Locatelli, and Khéphren Thuram. Not only has he scored three goals in his last seven matches, but he has also become a key piece of the team, linking the midfield with the attack while simultaneously contributing with defensive cover. Far from having an impact in just one area, the USMNT star consistently influences the game all over the pitch.

Even though McKennie is no longer typically stationed at the base of midfield, Spalletti has opted to give him a much more advanced role as a mezzala. Given his impressive level, the Bianconeri are prioritizing Weston’s contract renewal, as they do not want to lose him on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to Mirko Di Natale. However, several clubs—such as Atlético Madrid and two Premier League sides—are reportedly pursuing his arrival as a free agent.

Weston appears to be in the best form of his career, heading into the 2026 World Cup with strong chances to stand out as a key piece for the USMNT. With Christian Pulisic dealing with physical issues and Giovanni Reyna struggling to shine, McKennie could become the undisputed leader of Mauricio Pochettino’s team. In fact, the coach could even give him a more advanced role, prioritizing his current form to shine alongside Folarin Balogun and Malik Tillman.

Not only McKennie: Juventus push to renew another key star

Throughout the 2025–26 season, Weston McKennie’s contract renewal has been one of the most recurring topics among Juventus fans. However, the USMNT star has taken time to reach an agreement to extend his deal, as the Bianconeri are coming off a season marked by significant changes, including the arrival of Luciano Spalletti. Alongside the USMNT star, the Italian side is also looking to secure the continuity of another key player for the sporting project.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are prioritizing the contract renewal of Kenan Yildiz before addressing those of McKennie and Spalletti. Yildiz, whose current deal expires in 2029, could see his contract extended even further, with an annual salary of €6 million. As the cornerstone of the team, the 20-year-old Turkish forward plays a crucial role, emerging as both the leader of the attack and the club’s top scorer.
