Nate Diaz teases octagon return: 'I'll see you soon'
Could Nate Diaz be about to make a UFC return? The Ultimate Fighter Season 5 winner and former UFC lightweight title challenger teased an octagon return on Wednesday via social media.
"Letβs not act like I didnβt start a whole division bringing value to all these guys claiming theyβre it. I gave opportunity and put notice on the dopest fights," Diaz wrote on X. "I got unfinished business and I plan on going and taking whatβs mine asap 1st to ever start a division and the dopest one at that Your welcome motherf*ckers Iβll see you soon Iβm coming."

Diaz last fought in mixed martial arts at UFC 279 in September 2022 defeating Tony Ferguson via submission. He left the UFC and entered boxing. In August 2023, Diaz faced Jake Paul in a boxing match and lost by unanimous decision. In July 2024, he faced Jorge Masvidal inside the squared circle.
The Masvidal boxing match was a rematch. Diaz and Masvidal fought for the inaugural BMF belt at UFC 244 in November 2019. Masvidal defeated Diaz due to doctor stoppage to become the first BMF champion. In the rematch, inside the boxing ring, Diaz got his revenge defeating Masvidal via majority decision.
