One UI 8.5 Beta 6 has a scaling issue that broke my Notification Panel symmetry
Samsung just released the One UI 8.5 Beta 6 update, and everyone felt the next release is going to be official. Well, well, the sixth One UI 8.5 Beta keeps us busy, with an awkward UI scaling issue surfaced on the latest release.
Glitches related to the user interface can quickly be handled if spotted on time. Samsung is reportedly working on the One UI 8.5 Beta 7, and we expect the UI scaling issue to be addressed in that software update.
Whatβs the issue?
Notification Panel in One UI 8.5 is where the scaling flaw exists. It was spotted when I was jotting a note in the Samsung Notes app. Expanding the Notification Panel exposes that the interface hasnβt reached perfection so far.
The panel brings two buttons: Notification settings and Clear. The βClearβ button disappears when thereβs nothing to clean in the panel. The Notification settings key is what is hit by the scaling issue, and itβs literally awkward.
The pill surrounding the βNotification settingsβ label shrinks significantly. It also leaves its usual position, making the interface weird. Despite the glitch, the button to enter the assigned destination remains functional.

Itβs all random. While trying to reproduce the glitch, nothing happened. The button remained there as it should have been. No issues with the placement or size; however, it could appear on the next attempt, when I may not pinpoint.
Samsung started the One UI 8.5 Beta Program in early December. Weβve been testing the Beta software for nearly three months now. The seventh Beta is expected to be here next month, yet such UI-linked problems make things worse.
Expect the One UI 8.5 Beta wonβt have more such problems that could further delay the Stable release.
