iReader has launched its latest flagship E-Ink reader, the Neo 3 Ultra, in China. It is priced at 1,499 yuan (approximately $220) and focuses on delivering improved performance and a refreshed reading experience.

The Neo 3 Ultra features a 4:3 aspect ratio with a 1072 x 1448 resolution. It includes a nano-level anti-glare etched surface to reduce reflections and enhance readability in bright light.

The device features an octa-core processor with a dedicated GPU, offering double the performance of earlier models. It includes 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and a GPU Turbo 5.0 engine for enhanced graphics, faster page turns, and smoother navigation.

The Neo 3 Ultra introduces iDisplay Ultra Refresh technology. This system reduces ghosting and flickering on the E-Ink display while maintaining low power consumption. The device also uses iClean 2.0 AI technology to selectively refresh portions of the screen, further improving visual clarity.

The device features a ComfortLight Pro+ front-lighting system with 30 brightness levels and color-temperature adjustment. The lighting system ensures even illumination across the screen and reduces eye strain with DC dimming.

In terms of power, the Neo 3 Ultra includes a 2000mAh battery that provides up to 53 hours of reading time or 18 days of standby. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity. The USB-C port handles charging and data transfer.

The reader runs on SmartOS 3.4 and supports multitasking, gesture controls, and custom app organization. It is compatible with a wide range of file formats, including EPUB, PDF, and MP3, and weighs only 150 grams with a thickness of 7.5mm.

In related news, AOC introduced the 10W1D tablet last year, featuring a 10-inch E-Ink display, Wacom stylus support, and several smart tools designed for reading, studying, and note-taking.
