NFC East free agency tracker: See what the Cowboys' rivals have been up to so far

Keep your enemies close, they say.

The Dallas Cowboys kicked off NFL free agency by agreeing to terms with safety Jalen Thompson.

But Dallas' NFC East division rivals have also been busy so far.

Keep track of their free agent acquisitions below:

New York Giants

The Giants are looking to rebuild their roster after a disappointing 2025 campaign. It appears head coach John Harbaugh is tapping into his connections, as several former Ravens players are heading to New York.

Notable additions

- WR Darnell Mooney: The former Falcons wide receiver is signing a one-year deal worth up to $10 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

- WR Calvin Austin: The former Steelers wide receiver is signing a one-year deal worth up to $4.5 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

- OL Evan Neal: The Giants are bringing Neal back on a one-year deal, according to multiple reports.

- FB Patrick Ricard: Another former Raven joins Harbaugh in New York. He and the Giants reportedly agreed to terms on a two-year deal.

- K Jason Sanders: The Giants are giving their special teams unit a new look. Sanders and the Giants reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year deal.

- TE Isaiah Likely: The former Ravens tight end follows John Harbaugh to New York on a three-year, $40 million deal, according to multiple reports.

- LB Micah McFadden: The linebacker is re-signing with the Giants on a one-year deal, according to multiple reports.

- OL Jermaine Eluemunorο»Ώ: Re-signing with the Giants on a three-year, $39 million deal, according to multiple reports.

- LB Tremaine Edmunds: Signing a three-year, $36 million deal with $23.7 million fully guaranteed, according to multiple reports.

- P Jordan Stout: Agreed to a three-year, $12.3 million deal that makes him the highest-paid punter in the league, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

- CB Greg Newsome II: Signing a one-year deal with New York, he confirmed on social media. The 25-year-old corner is a former first-round draft pick.

- S Elijah Campbell: Signed a one-year deal with New York after spending time with the Dolphins, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Notable departures

- WR Wan'Dale Robinson: He's signing a 4-year, $78M deal with $38M guaranteed with the Titans, according to multiple reports.

- S Dane Belton: Staying in New York but headed to the Jets on a one-year deal, according to multiple reports.

- P Jamie Gillan: The Giants released Gillan, who spent the last four seasons of his career in New York.

- LB Bobby Okereke: The Giants released Okereke last week. He played in New York for the past three seasons.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles saw a lot of talent leave the building on the opening day of free agency. They haven't made too many moves throughout the week.

Notable additions

- WR Elijah Moore: The Eagles are reportedly signing the former Bills WR to a one-year deal.

- S J.T. Gray: The Eagles reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with the safety.

- S Marcus Epps: The Eagles reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with the veteran safety after trading Sydney Brown to Atlanta.

- TE Dallas Goedert: The longtime Philly veteran is returning to the team on a one-year deal, according to ESPN.

- WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown: The former Sooner agreed to a one-year deal with the Eagles, the team announced.

- EDGE Arnold Ebiketie: The edge rusher is signing a one-year deal worth a maximum of $7.3 million with the Eagles, according to ESPN.

- TE Stone Smartt: Signed to a one-year deal, according to Rapoport.

- RB Dameon Pierce: The former Texans man lands a one-year deal in Philly, the team announced.

- P Braden Mann: The former Texas A&M Aggie signed with the Eagles, the team announced.

- CB Jonathan Jones: Jones agreed to a one-year deal with the Eagles on Thursday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

- TE Johnny Mundt: The Eagles and Mundt agreed to terms on a one-year deal Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

- CB Riq Woolen: The former Seattle Seahawks cornerback reportedly agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $15 million.

Notable departures

- S Sydney Brown: The Eagles reportedly traded Brown to the Atlanta Falcons. Philly also swapped fourth- and sixth-round draft picks with the Falcons in the trade.

- EDGE Jaelan Philips: Signing with the Carolina Panthers on a four-year, $120 million deal, according to multiple reports.

- LB Nakobe Dean: A big target for the Cowboys, Dean is reportedly signing a three-year, $36 million deal with the Raiders.

Washington Commanders

The Commanders have been busy to start free agency. After making some big moves early, Washington has mainly been focused on revamping its defense.

- S Jeremy Reaves: The team announced an extension with Reaves through the 2027 season.

- RB Rachaad White: The former Buccaneers running back is joining the Commanders on a one-year deal, according to ESPN.

- DE Charles Omenihu: The former Texas standout is reportedly joining the Commanders on a one-year deal worth up to $7 million.

- S Nick Cross: Reportedly joining the Commanders on a two-year deal.

- TE Chig Okonkwo: The former Titans TE is reportedly signing a three-year deal with Washington.

- DE K'Lavon Chaisson: Reportedly signing a one-year deal worth $11 million with the Commanders.

- LB Leo Chenal: The Commanders reportedly agreed to a three-year, $24.75 million deal with the linebacker.

- QB Marcus Mariota: The former Heisman winner is reportedly re-signing on a one-year, $7 million contract.

- OT Laremy Tunsil: Signed a two-year, $60.2 million extension, according to multiple reports.

- EDGE Odafe Oweh: The former Chargers pass rusher is signing a four-year, $100 million deal, with $68 million guaranteed, according to multiple reports.

- DT Tim Settle: Signing a three-year, $24 million deal, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

- CB Amik Robertson: The former Detroit Lions defensive back is reportedly signing a two-year, $16 million deal.

Notable departures

- C Tyler Biadasz: The former Cowboy was signed by the Los Angeles Chargers last week.

Cowboys free agency tracker: A look at Dallas' offseason additions and departures

The NFL's free agency period has officially opened. Are the Dallas Cowboys ready to "bust the budget?"

That's the buzz phrase of the offseason for Jerry Jones and Co. Dallas has plenty of holes to fix on its roster, especially defensively, and they also have some key players set to hit the market, including edge Jadeveon Clowney and kicker Brandon Aubrey.

A few hours before the free agency market opened, Dallas dipped into the trade waters to acquire 28-year-old edge rusher Rashan Gary from the Green Bay Packers.

Will the Cowboys also make big free agency moves in 2026? Here's what you should know about Dallas' player additions, potential free agency targets and the status of the Cowboys' own free agents as the offseason moves forward.

Free agency details

Negotiation window opening: Monday, 11 a.m.; During this period clubs are permitted to contact and enter into contract negotiations with players who will become unrestricted free agents.

Signing period: Wednesday, 3 p.m.; The 2026 League Year and free agency signing period begin.

New additions

Cobie Durant, cornerback

Friday, 12:11 a.m.: Dallas signed cornerback Cobie Durant to a one-year deal. Durant would land in Dallas after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams.

Durant has appeared in 61 games throughout his stint with the Rams, making 39 starts.

Matt Hennessy, offensive lineman

Thursday, 10:11 p.m.: The Cowboys have agreed to a one-year deal with offensive lineman Matt Hennessy. He last played for the San Francisco 49ers.

Hennessy has six years of NFL experience on his rΓ©sumΓ©.

Tyrus Wheat, defensive end

Wednesday, 11:21 a.m.: The Cowboys will reunite with defensive end Tyrus Wheat when the league year begins, a person familiar with the decision confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.

Wheat spent the first two seasons of his career in Dallas before playing in Detroit in 2025.

Sam Howell, quarterback

Tuesday, 9:26 p.m.: The Cowboys plan on signing quarterback Sam Howell to a one-year contract, a person with knowledge of the deal told The Dallas Morning News Tuesday night.

Howell didn't play during the 2025 regular season. Last August, Howell was traded by Minnesota to Philadelphia for a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 seventh-round selection.

According to ESPN, Howell's one-year deal is worth $2.5 million with a max of $3 million.

Otito Ogbonnia, nose tackle

Tuesday, 3:30 p.m.: The Cowboys double-dipped on defense Tuesday, also agreeing to terms with former Chargers nose tackle Otito Ogbonnia, a person familiar with the move confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.

Ogbonnia, a 25-year-old from Katy, played in 42 games (20 starts) in four seasons with Los Angeles. He was a fifth-round draft pick in 2022 out of UCLA.

P.J. Locke, safety

Tuesday, 3:06 p.m.: Dallas added another defensive back in former Texas Longhorns star P.J. Locke. He agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth $5 million, a person with knowledge of the move confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.

Locke has connections with new Dallas defensive coordinator Christian Parker. Parker was the cornerbacks coach in Denver with Locke from 2021-23.

Jalen Thompson, safety

Monday, 3:22 p.m.: It took a few hours, but the Cowboys got on the board in free agency Monday afternoon, coming to terms with free agent safety Jalen Thompson, two people familiar with the move confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.

Thompson, 27, spent the first seven seasons of his NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals. He recorded 95 tackles in 15 games last season.

Returning free agents

Sam Williams, defensive end

Monday, 9:36 p.m.: The Cowboys and defensive end Sam Williams agreed to a new one-year, $3 million deal, a person with knowledge of the move told The Dallas Morning News.

Williams recorded 9.5 sacks over the course of his rookie deal with the Cowboys.

Princeton Fant, tight end

Friday, 3:33 p.m.: The Cowboys announced they retained tight end Princeton Fant. Fant was an exclusive rights free agent and was an undrafted free agent in 2023. He has stuck around as tight end depth and appeared in just 11 games, spending most of his time on the practice squad.

Cowboys' free agents

Edge Jadeveon Clowney

K Brandon Aubrey (restricted): The Cowboys placed a second-round tender worth $5.76 million on Aubrey. As a restricted free agent, he can test the market. The Cowboys can match any offer sheet he receives. If Dallas elects not to match, it would receive a second-round draft pick as compensation.

LB Kenneth Murray

S Donovan Wilson

Edge Dante Fowler Jr.

OG Rob Jones: The veteran offensive lineman is signing with the San Francisco 49ers for the 2026 season, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Jones was placed on season-ending IR due to a neck injury in his lone season in Dallas.

Edge Payton Turner: The edge rusher agreed to a deal with the Detroit Lions, the team announced. Turner spent just one season in Dallas.

LB Jack Sanborn: Signed a one-year deal to return to the Chicago Bears on March 18, the team announced.

RB Miles Sanders

WR Jalen Tolbert: Tolbert's four-year tenure in Dallas has come to an end as the wide receiver signed with the Miami Dolphins on a one-year deal.

CB C.J. Goodwin

OT Hakeem Adeniji

DB Corey Ballentine: The defensive back is re-signing with the Cowboys, according to the NFL's transaction wire.

OL Brock Hoffman (restricted)

OL T.J. Bass (restricted): Dallas has signed Bass to his second-round restricted free agent tender, per the NFL's transaction wire.

DB Juanyeh Thomas: He reportedly signed with the Indianapolis Colts on a one-year deal. The Cowboys did not place a tender on Thomas and allowed him to become an unrestricted free agent.

DB Josh Butler (exclusive rights): Butler signed a one-year deal equal to the exclusive rights tender of $1.07 million, according to ESPN.

DB Reddy Steward (exclusive rights): The Cowboys tendered Steward, which carries a value of $1 million, according to ESPN.
