After debuting the higher-end Galaxy Book 6 Ultra and Pro, Samsung has now introduced the standard Galaxy Book 6 in South Korea. This is the model most people were waiting for, the one that brings the series down to a more accessible price bracket without stripping away the core experience.

Pricing starts at 1.6 million KRW ($1060) and goes up to 2.51 million KRW ($1665), depending on configuration. Starting at 1.6 million KRW ($1060), it undercuts the higher-end models while still delivering the core features that define this generation.

At the heart of the Galaxy Book 6 is Intel’s Core Ultra Processor Series 3. The onboard NPU now delivers up to 49 TOPS, a huge jump from the 13 TOPS seen on the Galaxy Book 5.

Tasks like real-time translation and image manipulation are no longer cloud-dependent experiments. They run locally, faster, and more consistently. It is the kind of silicon upgrade that actually changes how the device feels day to day.

Samsung claims up to 24 hours of video playback. In typical usage, expect less, but even then, this should comfortably land in all-day territory.

The Galaxy Book 6 carries forward the clean, symmetrical aesthetic introduced with the Ultra and Pro models. It features a centered touchpad, a two-tone keyboard, and a logo that finally sits where it should. The 14-inch model comes in at 14.9 mm thickness and weighs just 1.43 kg, while the 16-inch version is 1.74 kg.

Port selection is refreshingly practical; two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI, MicroSD, and even a wired LAN port and no dongle life here, which is becoming rare in this segment.

Samsung is leaning hard into Galaxy AI, but this time it feels less like a checkbox. Features like AI Cut Out let you remove image backgrounds instantly, and real-time translation works directly on selected text.

There is also natural language search baked into the system. You can look for files or tweak settings just by typing what you want. It is subtle, but it reduces friction in everyday tasks.
