Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, XR and more become Red Dot Design Award winners

28 April 2026 at 08:02

Samsung walked out of the Red Dot Design Award 2026 with 16 wins out of 16 submissions. The company also took home two Best of the Best honors, the award’s highest distinction.

Two ‘Best of the Best’ wins in Product Design

Samsung won the top ‘Best of the Best’ awards in the Product Design category for:

  • The OLED TV ‘S95H’
  • The Bespoke AI laundry appliance series

The OLED TV S95H earned Best of the Best. Its slim display floats visually above the main body, framed in silver metal that reads more like gallery hardware. The Bespoke AI laundry lineup took the other top prize.

Products such as:

  • Bespoke AI washer and dryer
  • ‘Bespoke AI One Body’ (a vertically integrated washer and dryer)
  • ‘Bespoke AI Combo’ (an all-in-one washer-dryer)

were highly rated for their ability to blend seamlessly with users’ home interiors.

A washer, a dryer, an integrated One Body unit, and the all-in-one Combo all carry a unified design language while still feeling distinct. The 7-inch touchscreen controlling SmartThings and AI features didn’t hurt either.

All 16 of Samsung’s submitted products were selected as Red Dot Design Award Winners.

Award-winning products include:

  • Wi-Fi speaker ‘Music Studio 5’
  • Portable screen ‘The Moving Style’
  • ‘Bespoke AI Family Hub’ refrigerator
  • Bespoke AI AirDresser
  • Bespoke AI water purifier and ice water purifier
  • ‘AI WindFree Combo Pro Wall-mounted’ air conditioner
  • ‘Bespoke AI WindFree Combo Gallery Pro’ standing air conditioner
  • ‘Bespoke AI Steam Ultra and Plus’ robot vacuum
  • ‘Jet Fit’ cordless stick vacuum

Additionally, innovative products delivering new user experiences also received awards, including:

  • Galaxy Z Fold 7
  • Galaxy XR
  • 5G Street Radio solution
  • Glasses-free 3D display ‘Spatial Signage’
  • Portable SSD T7 Resurrected

“Expressive Design is our way of putting people at the center, celebrating their identity, emotions and diversity,” said Mauro Porcini, President and Chief Design Officer (CDO) of the Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics. “We design not only to function, but to create meaning and connection. Our ambition is to enrich people’s lives through experiences that are both purposeful and deeply human.”
