Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra users in Canada are getting the One UI 8.5 update. The update is already available in South Korea, the United States, and several other regions, and is now reaching Canadian users.

One UI 8.5 update for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series arrives in Canada (via @theonecid) with the PDA version given below.

• Galaxy S23 Ultra – S918WVLU7FZE2

The installation package is quite large, around 4GB, so users may need a stable Wi-Fi connection and enough battery before downloading.

One UI 8.5 update brings a fresh design, smoother performance, and improved AI tools like better image generation and Audio Eraser. However, users have noticed that the new AirDrop-like Quick Share feature for sending files to Apple devices is missing from this update.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Newer Galaxy phones like Galaxy S25 and S26 already support cross-platform sharing between Android and Apple devices. Samsung Galaxy S23 users still have normal Quick Share. Samsung and Google may add this missing feature later through future updates to improve compatibility and user experience soon in updates.

To install the update, users can go to Settings >> Software Update >> Download and Install. Once downloaded, the phone will restart and complete the installation process.
