NFL players come together to shine light on men's mental health in Kensington

Current and former NFL players came together Saturday to shine a light on men's mental health in Kensington.

Tim Massaquoi, Dom Curry, Desmond Wynn and Nydair Rouse teamed up with the group "Black Men Heal" for an event called "Beyond the Game".

The initiative brings together athletes, mental health professionals, and community leaders to raise awareness about challenges like depression and anxiety.

The event was also part of a campaign to raise $100,000 to provide free therapy resources for men of color.

"The importance of me being here is mental health. I feel like more Black men should speak out on mental health in Black men. And this is the process of just healing, and getting started with that process of just healing," says former Green Bay Packers player, Nydair Rouse.

Organizers say video recordings from Saturday's discussions will be used to create a documentary, and educational content.
