Samsung Galaxy Glasses app leak reveals One UI XR, charging case, and Ring integration

30 June 2026 at 22:08

We’ve been waiting on Galaxy Glasses news, and the latest leak linked to the companion app and One UI XR platform doesn’t disappoint, even if it’s coming from screenshots rather than an official Samsung event.

SammyGuru got hold of the companion app for the glasses, and the images give us our clearest look yet at how this thing is actually going to work day to day.

Based on the screenshots, the case looks closer to a jumbo-sized earbuds case, complete with an external light that flashes to indicate charging and pairing status.

There’s also language in the app suggesting the case charges the glasses without any wired connection, meaning the glasses likely just dock into a cradle inside the case and fill up from contact points.

Inside the app itself, things look fairly standard for a companion experience: a gallery section for photos and videos pulled from the glasses, a settings menu, and a software update page.

One UI XR

The update page is where things get interesting, because it explicitly references β€œOne UI XR.”

Seeing that branding show up for what’s expected to be an audio-only pair of glasses is a little surprising. It raises the question of just how much of that XR software stack Samsung plans to carry over to a device with no display.

There’s also a handful of strings tied to Galaxy Ring gestures, including references to starting and stopping glasses functions.

  • com.samsung.android.ring.GESTURE_ACTION
  • com.samsung.android.ringplugin.gesture.ACTION_GLASSES_START
  • com.samsung.android.ringplugin.gesture.ACTION_GLASSES_STOP

Samsung’s Intelligent Eyewear is officially dropping this year. Galaxy Unpacked is expected to be held on July 22 in London. The company may showcase the upcoming smart glasses or announce an availability timeline.
