Laptop users are familiar with the major performance differences caused by varying TDP limits. The same effect is now emerging in the smartphone market. Our review of the new Sony phone clearly shows how widely performance can fluctuate. The test results highlight that power management will be a decisive factor for the speed of smartphones.
