The NYC resident World Cup ticket lottery opened on Monday, and the 50,000 registration limit was reached in just three minutes.

The lottery is for residents to have a chance at winning $50 tickets to a World Cup match.

1,000 tickets will be split across several matches.

The website is not accepting any more entries on Monday and will begin receiving more at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

New Yorkers had the opportunity to register to enter a ticket lottery each morning until 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 30th.

Winners will be notified on June 3rd.

Residents can enter once online per day.

Winners will also get free round-trip transportation.
