Preakness odds, betting, horses, post position, updated field: Iron Honor is favorite in second Triple Crown race

The 2026 Preakness Stakes will take place on Saturday, May 16, at 6:50 p.m. ET in Laurel Park, Maryland. The 14-horse field will be without 2026 Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo, which means there won’t be a Triple Crown winner this year.

Iron Honor (9-2) is the morning-line favorite and drew the No. 9 post position. Incredibolt (No. 12 post position), Taj Mahal (No. 1) and Chip Honcho (No. 6) all have 5-1 odds on the morning line.

Journalism won the 2025 Preakness as the favorite, finishing ahead of Gosger and Sandman in a nine-horse field.
