Samsung rolling out July 2026 update to Galaxy S25, Edge, FE, Fold 7 and more phones
Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 8.5-based July 2026 update across Galaxy S and Galaxy Z phones this week. Starting with the Galaxy S26 series, several Samsung flagships and foldables have begun grabbing the latest security patches. The initial deployment has begun, and the expansion will run throughout the month.
July 2026 update brings 57 patches to Samsung devices. Among the total vulnerability items, 41 are provided by Google, while the remaining 16 come from Samsung. These improvements ensure a peak level of reliability on Galaxy phones, foldables, and tablets.
July 9 rollout
Samsung released the July update for Galaxy S26 series, Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z TriFold. The S25 lineup included the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy S25 FE (Fan Edition) variants as well.

Samsung is expected to provide the July patches to even more users over the next couple of days. The next contenders are the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, as well as the foldables and tablets released in 2025 and 2024.
We will see various mid-range and budget phones joining the rollout. Select A series phones receive new updates every month, while others get OTAs every quarter.
Update notifications arrive a bit late, but you can also manually check for it through the steps as follows:
- Settings > Software update > Download and install.
