Samsung’s Baro Service deserves a global rollout for Galaxy users

Samsung has been quietly running something genuinely smart in South Korea, and most Galaxy users around the world have no idea Baro Service exists.

Called Baro Service, it plants certified repair engineers directly inside Samsung Store retail locations. Neither a separate service center trip, nor scheduling a visit to some strip-mall repair outpost.

You walk in to look at a new tablet, notice your phone screen has a weird flicker, and a trained Samsung technician can inspect it right there – that’s it.

The program launched as a pilot in October 2024 across four Seoul-area stores. It worked: daily usage climbed more than 30% between January and April this year compared to that initial pilot window.

Samsung has now expanded to seven locations, pushing into Gyeongju, Busan, and Suncheon.

The service covers inspections, repairs, consultations, and same-day screen protector installation with a warranty attached. Seven days for standard installs and three months if you’ve got a foldable and need the main display protector handled.

Samsung also runs a pickup service for devices that need deeper work, collecting your phone and returning it after repairs are done at a nearby center.

And the wait times? Shorter than dedicated service centers, which in practice means the difference between a 20-minute fix and losing half your afternoon.

Galaxy devices sell in over 100 countries. Samsung Stores and branded retail presences exist across Europe, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and North America.

Samsung keeps telling the world it’s serious about after-sales support. Baro Service is proof that it knows how to do it right. Keeping it locked to seven locations in one country isn’t humility. It’s a missed opportunity sitting in plain sight.
