Samsung confirms fix for Quick Share issues affecting some Galaxy devices

Some Samsung Galaxy users have recently reported issues with Quick Share while sharing files between devices. Most of these issues appeared after recent updates, including One UI 8.5.

A Galaxy user said that they sent three photos from their iPad to their phone. ButΒ the phone showed that four files had been received. When the user checked the Gallery app, only the three photos were there. The extra file could not be found. This might be because Quick Share is showing the wrong number of files.

Another Galaxy S25 Plus userΒ who also uses an iPhone 8 for photography said that sending files from Galaxy to iPhone worked without any problems. But when trying to send files from the iPhone back to the Galaxy phone, the transfer failed every time. Some other users reported the same issue and were worried that their phones might be faulty.

Samsung Galaxy S24 users also reported issues when using Quick Share with Windows 11 computers. File transfers started normally, but the transfer speed became very slow. During file sharing, messages such as β€œCannot connect to device” briefly appeared on the phone.Β

Fortunately, Samsung has now responded to these complaints. The community moderator said the company investigated the issues and confirmed that the problems have been fixed. The fixes will be included in the next Quick Share update.

Samsung also said that the Galaxy-to-iPhone transfer problem has been resolved. Users should update the Quick Share Extension app to version 1.0.915523159 or later when it becomes available. So, first download the latest version of Quick Share and stay tuned for the next update.
