Samsung Galaxy S27 series is expected to launch in early 2027, and it could bring some interesting changes to the S series. The Galaxy S27 series might introduce a new “Pro” model, and this model could include a strong camera.

Talking about the Galaxy S27 series, it might include the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27 Plus, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra. Both the Pro and Ultra models are expected to bring strong upgrades in camera and performance.

Recently, a rumor revealed that the Galaxy S27 Pro might have a better telephoto camera than the Galaxy S27 Ultra. The Galaxy S27 Pro may feature a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, while the Ultra may come with a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.

At first, the Ultra looks more powerful because it offers higher zoom. But the Pro model could actually be better for everyday photography. A 3.5x zoom is often ideal for portraits because it keeps faces natural and gives smooth background blur. Many photographers prefer this range for people shots and casual zoom photography.

The Ultra’s 5x zoom may require more cropping or processing for closer shots, which can slightly affect sharpness compared to a dedicated 3.5x lens.

However, the Galaxy S27 Ultra is still expected to be better overall. Even though the Pro may perform well in portrait shots, the Ultra is likely to offer more powerful overall features. The Ultra model usually comes with additional features and powerful hardware.

So the answer depends on your needs. If you love portraits, the Pro might look tempting. But if you want the best overall experience with more features and stronger zoom power, the Ultra still remains the better choice for most users. Buying the Pro only for slightly better portraits may not be worth it.
