Motorola Unleashes Moto G57 with Giant Battery & Budget Price

It wasn’t too long ago that most phone makers were launching smartphones with batteries of 4,000 to 5,000mAh. You might get the occasional 6,000mAh, but that was rare. But these days, we’re seeing a rise in phones with larger batteries. If you’re after a phone that could potentially last you two days, then you might want to check out the new Moto g57 Power.

Meet the new Motorola Moto G57 series

Motorola has announced both the Moto G57 and Moto G57 Power. Both phones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, making them the first phones to use it. As far as the rest of the specs are concerned, they’re both nearly identical. Both models feature a large 6.72-inch Full HD+ display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and impressive 1,050 nits peak brightness, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Camera-wise, you get a dual setup with a 50MP main camera using Sony’s LYT-600 sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. There’s also an 8MP front camera for selfies. Both phones run Android 16 right out of the box, include IP64 water resistance, and meet MIL-STD-810H military durability standards.

The main difference lies in the battery. The Motorola Moto G57 Power packs a massive 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that could potentially get you over two days of use on a single charge. As for the standard G57, it comes with a still-respectable 5,200mAh battery. Both phones support 30W fast charging.

The battery wars are heating up

The rise of phones with 7,000mAh batteries marks a change (for the better) in the smartphone industry. Thanks to new silicon-carbon battery technology, manufacturers can pack more power without making phones unbearably thick or heavy. The Moto G57 Power weighs just 210.6 grams despite its huge battery.

This trend isn’t limited to Motorola. Companies like OnePlus, OPPO, and Samsung have all been experimenting with larger batteries. The technology allows for higher energy density, meaning more capacity in less space. For budget-conscious buyers who prioritize battery life over everything else, this is fantastic news.

The Motorola Moto G57 is priced at €249 (around $285), while the G57 Power costs €279 (roughly $320). Both are now available in Europe and the Middle East.
