Samsung Galaxy S27’s Exynos chip could be a bold upgrade

Samsung is currently preparing to launch its Galaxy S26 series in early 2026 with an Exynos 2600 chip. Now, it seems like the 2027 Samsung Galaxy S series, the Galaxy S27, could be an even bolder upgrade with the new Exynos chip.

The Korean tech giant recently launched its first 2nm chipset, the Exynos 2600, which powers the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus. With the Galaxy S27, Samsung is expected to use the second generation of its 2nm Exynos chip. This means users could enjoy even better performance, faster speed, and improved efficiency compared to the Galaxy S26 series.

The Galaxy S26 will feature a Samsung-designed GPU. While this first version still relies on AMD’s basic framework, Samsung is moving toward a fully in-house GPU design. The Galaxy S27’s Exynos chip will reportedly use Samsung’s second-generation GPU design, which brings faster gaming, smoother AI performance, and better efficiency.

Currently, only the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus use the Exynos chip. With the Galaxy S27 series, Samsung may also adopt it for Ultra models in some countries. However, it depends on the performance of the Exynos 2600 chip.

By 2027, the company plans to take full control of mobile graphics. The Exynos 2800, expected in the Galaxy S28, could be Samsung’s first chip with a fully custom GPU. For that, the Galaxy S27 represents a big leap, preparing the ground for the fully in-house graphics performance that will arrive in the next generation.

The Galaxy S27 looks set to be a big upgrade over the S26. With its improved process and Samsung’s second-generation GPU, the Galaxy S27’s Exynos chip may offer faster performance, better graphics, and more efficiency. Stay tuned for more information.
