After camera megapixels, display nits, and charging watts, battery mAh has become the new resort for the smartphone race. Honor WIN phones debut a 10000mAh battery inside, and Samsung is sitting out of the race as always.

Honor equipped its WIN and WIN RT phones with a 10000mAh battery, a move that Samsung, even Apple, and Google could never pursue.

Samsung tablets cross the 5000mAh battery mark and others stay around this ceiling. The company has also launched a handful of budget phones with 6000mAh batteries, but a 10,000mAh Galaxy can’t even be dreamed of.

Honor WIN and Honor WIN RT come with a massive 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. The entire focus has put on battery capacity, charging speed, camera megapixels, 185Hz refresh rate, and a fan cooling technology.

Chinese phone makers are aggressively adopting next-gen battery solutions. Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is coming soon, and it’s still stuck with a lithium-ion battery. Apple and Google also stick to the conventional battery solutions.

Silicon-carbon battery offers higher capacity without needing to become bigger. It helps OEMs surpass the usual capings when it comes to battery capacity, while retaining a portable yet thin form factor of smartphones.

Optimization is the key

Samsung knows a 5,000mAh battery phone can give immense competition to a 10,000mAh phone. Companies like Apple and Google have also proved that just battery capacity doesn’t decide how long the device will last.

If a phone has a 10,000mAh battery without optimized hardware and software, it won’t deliver the experience it should. Meanwhile, an optimized hardware + software combo offers an all-day battery with 5,000mAh capacity.

It doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be any increment in battery size. Apple improved the capacity of its latest iPhone, helping it defeat others. Samsung is rumored to equip the Galaxy S26 Ultra with a 5,000mAh or 5,200mAh battery.

Honor has officially introduced its new performance-focused smartphone lineup, the Honor Win series, in China. Positioned as an e-sports-centric flagship range, the series debuts with two models, Honor Win and Honor Win RT. Both devices focus on sustained gaming performance, long battery life, and thermal stability, highlighted by features such as a 10,000mAh Qinghai Lake battery, a built-in active cooling fan, a 185Hz high-refresh-rate display, and Snapdragon 8-series flagship chipsets.

Honor Win, Win RT specifications and features

Both Honor Win and Honor Win RT feature an identical physical footprint with a thickness of around 8.3mm and a metal frame paired with a glass-fibre rear panel. On the front, the devices sport a 6.83-inch flat LTPS OLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2800 x 1272 pixels. The screen supports a 185Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling, and up to 5920Hz PWM dimming for eye comfort during extended gaming sessions. Additional display features include game-specific anti-dizziness modes and high peak brightness for outdoor visibility.

Under the hood, the Honor Win is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile platform, while the Win RT uses the last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Both phones are paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring fast app loading and smooth multitasking.

The lineup is unified by a massive 10,000mAh Qinghai Lake silicon-carbon battery. Charging support includes 100W wired fast charging on both models, while the Honor Win also supports 80W wireless charging and up to 27W wired reverse charging. A built-in cooling fan with a rear air intake design helps maintain stable performance during prolonged gaming.

The Honor Win series runs on MagicOS based on Android 15 out of the box, with Honor confirming multiple Android version updates and extended security patch support. In terms of cameras, both phones feature a 50-megapixel front camera.

The Honor Win offers a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The Win RT comes with a dual rear camera system consisting of a 50MP main sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens.

Other features include a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers with Honor AI surround subwoofer technology, active cooling, and IP68, IP69, and IP69K-rated dust and water resistance. Connectivity features cover 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and dual SIM support.

Honor Win, Win RT price and availability

The Honor Win series is available in multiple colour options, including fast black, winning silver, and blue-themed finishes. Sales begin in China starting today through Honor’s official online store and retail partners. There’s no clarity whether these devices will be released in the global market.

Honor is getting ready to launch its new WIN gaming phone lineup, and the company is clearly putting a lot of emphasis on one thing many gaming phones overlook: eye comfort.

Ahead of the official unveiling on December 26, Honor confirmed that every phone in the upcoming WIN series will feature what it calls an AI Oasis eye-protection gaming display. The company says the screen is specifically tuned for 3D games and fast-paced visuals, with built-in anti-dizziness technology designed to reduce eye strain and motion sickness during long gaming sessions. According to Honor, the system can cut discomfort by up to 54 percent, though real-world results will need independent testing.

A major highlight is the display’s 5920Hz PWM dimming, which Honor claims is the highest “zero-risk” flicker control in the industry. The panel has also received TÜV Rheinland’s Global Eye Protection 5.0 certification, covering issues like dry eyes and fatigue during extended use.

The WIN lineup will include two models: the Honor WIN, positioned as a flagship gaming phone, and the slightly toned-down Honor WIN RT. Both devices share one eye-catching spec—a massive 10,000mAh battery, aimed at extended gaming without constant charging breaks.

On the performance side, Honor isn’t holding back. The top-end WIN model runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Audio is handled by Honor Surround Subwoofer 2.0, featuring dual symmetrical speakers for louder, more immersive sound.

Durability also seems to be a focus. The entire series is rated for IP68, IP69, and IP69K resistance. With the WIN series, Honor appears to be targeting hardcore mobile gamers—but with a stronger focus on long-term comfort rather than just raw performance numbers.
