Southern Miss football fell in the New Orleans Bowl, 27-16, to Western Kentucky on Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles led, 13-6, at halftime, largely thanks to a stifling defense, but USM was outscored, 21-3, in the second half.

Head Coach Blake Anderson and the Golden Eagles say it’s now time to recruit and rebuild.
