Samsung A phones are upgrading in 2026, and it wonβt be free
Samsung may bring a budget Galaxy phone with a 6000mAh battery in 2026. With DRAM, camera, and chip prices continuing to soar, Samsungβs upgrading battery capacity hints at the forthcoming painful sacrifices.
Galaxy A07 5G phone has just certified with a 6000mAh battery, which Samsung will launch in 2026. The device is getting a bigger battery over its predecessor, which packs a 5000mAh capacity battery and lasts all day.
A price hike may be on the cards
Samsungβs Galaxy A07 5G appears to have the same chipset and storage configuration as the A06 5G. The device will be powered by MediaTekβs Dimensity 6300 processor with 4/6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Like the A06 5G, the upcoming Galaxy A07 5G will be the cheapest 5G phone offered by Samsung. With chip and RAM matching the current model, a battery capacity increase of 1,000mAh translates to a price hike.
Galaxy A06 5G Prices
- 4/64 β INR 10499 ($105/Walmart)
- 4/128 β INR 11499
- 6/128 β INR 12999 ($114)
The Korean tech giant is struggling to finalize the price of its Galaxy S26 series. Appleβs move to launch the iPhone 17 series at the same prices as the iPhone 16 series has forced Samsung to revisit its complete strategy.
Galaxy A37 and A57 may bring newer camera sensors in 2026. Itβs unusual to see mid-range phones getting camera upgrades, while flagship models continue to recycle conventional image sensor being utilized since 2022.
Samsung may be bringing bigger batteries to A07 5G and newer cameras to the A37 and A57 with a price hike. Since these models are the companyβs growth engine, itβs necessary to keep them relevant in the market.
The company may have planned a price hike, and an increased battery capacity seems to have been picked to justify the increase. Things will clear when the phoneβs official launch takes place, which is expected early next year.
