Where can I watch Super Bowl LX in Tacoma? See 7 sports bars with gameday deals
Super Bowl LX as the Seattle Seahawks will take on the New England Patriots on Sunday, Feb. 8.
If you can’t make it to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara to watch the big game in person, local bars are organizing watch parties with happy hour deals, drink specials and other perks.
Some are members of the Seahawks Bar Alliance, which features more than 60 watering holes across Washington state.
Here are a few of the Tacoma-area bars that will be showing the 60th Super Bowl live on game day:
The Office on Pacific Bar & Grill
Where: 813 Pacific Ave. in Tacoma
The Office on Pacific Bar & Grill will show Super Bowl LX on all its televisions. The bar will offer its happy hour menu all day, including tater tots, nachos and mozzarella sticks ranging from $9 to $15.
Emerald Queen Casino
Where: 2920 East R St. in Tacoma
Former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu will host a Super Bowl Sunday event at the Emerald Queen Casino’s Event Center.
“The Event Center opens at 2 p.m. (Sunday), bringing the gameday energy, fun games, food & drink specials and all the hype to get you ready for the big game!” the casino said on its website?
Fans can watch Super Bowl 60 on the casino’s 45-foot TVs and side screens.
Those seated closest to the screens will have access to catered food and alcoholic beverages, while those farther away from the screens will be able to order food from one of the casino’s restaurants.
Rock the Dock Pub & Grill
Where: 535 Dock St., No 118, in Tacoma
Rock the Dock Pub & Grill is the only place in Tacoma that pays its their patrons to cheer, owner Gwendolyn Stence told McClatchy Media. The bar will pay out 25 cents for every point the Seahawks win.
“We’re also running food and drink specials including a keep-the-glass special and giving away free raffle prizes and Seahawk merch on our free football board,” Stence said.
The Penalty Box
Where: 2510 84th St., Suite No. 15, in Lakewood
Hockey bar The Penalty Box will transform into a football bar for Super Bowl LX. The bar will host a Super Bowl watch party starting at 3 p.m. Sunday.
“Gameday fun will include door prizes, gameday food and beverage specials, chicken wing eating contest and super spicy wing challenge too,” the bar said on its website, as well as raffles.
Beach Tavern
Where: 8612 Sixth Ave, Tacoma
Seahawks fans can flock to Beach Tavern for a Super Bowl watch party with drink specials.
Bottles of Budweiser and Bud Light will cost $2 or $10 a bucket, while pints of Bud Light will be $5.50. A pitcher of Bud Light costs $17.
Doyle’s Public House
Where: 208 St. Helens Ave, Tacoma,
Weather will determine whether Doyle’s Public House projects the Super Bowl on its large inflatable screens. Six TVs inside the bar will show the game regardless of the forecast.
Doyle’s Public House will serve its specialty Mardi Gras menu all day.
The Forum
Where: 815 Pacific Ave., Suite A, in Tacoma
In celebration of Super Bowl 60, The Forum will serve its happy hour menu all day on Sunday.
Happy hour menu items include a Juicy Lucy Burger, macaroni-and-cheese balls, soups and salad, with prices ranging from $7 to $12.
