Recent reports have revealed that Oppo is working on the next-generation Turbo-series of performance-centric phones for the Chinese market. While earlier reports suggested that Oppo might skip the K14 naming, new information, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, indicates that the lineup could arrive as the Oppo K14 Turbo series. The latest details provide an early look at expected specifications as well as a tentative launch window.

Oppo K14 Turbo series specifications (rumored)

According to DCS, the Oppo K14 Turbo lineup is expected to include two models, namely the Oppo K14 Turbo and the K14 Turbo Pro. The Pro variant is tipped to feature a 6.79-inch OLED display and could be powered by the Dimensity 9500s chipset. This means that it will compete with the Dimensity 9500s-powered Redmi Turbo 5 Max in China.

Engineering prototype units of the Pro variant are said to exist in multiple configurations such as 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+512GB. The device may weigh around 201 grams and could arrive in colour options including white, grey, pink, and a forged carbon finish.

Previous leaks have suggested that the handset might pack a large 8,000mAh battery, reinforcing its positioning as a performance-focused smartphone.

The standard Oppo K14 Turbo, on the other hand, is expected to feature a slightly smaller 6.59-inch OLED display. While the chipset has not been officially confirmed, earlier claims indicate that it could run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC.

One of the major highlights of the upcoming series is said to be the inclusion of built-in cooling fans on both models, unlike the previous generation where only the Pro variant featured such hardware. The cooling system is also rumored to include waterproofing support. Both phones are expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera on the rear.

The latest leak also suggests that the Oppo K14 Turbo lineup could debut in China around April. There’s a possibility that the series may hit the Indian market a month or two after the China launch.
