Realme has begun sales of the Realme P4 Power 5G in India, and early numbers show a strong start. The phone went on sale at 12 PM today via realme.com, Flipkart, and offline retail stores. Realme says sales volume in the first hour was 291 percent higher than the previous generation, pointing to strong early demand in the mid-range segment.

The Realme P4 Power 5G was launched last week and is built around a 10,001mAh battery, which stands out in its price range. The company says the early response is driven by the large battery, high refresh rate display, and performance-focused hardware.

The phone features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 1280 × 2800 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It supports HDR10+, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 6500 nits peak brightness. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset built on a 4nm process. It has an octa-core CPU clocked up to 2.6GHz and a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU.

The Realme P4 Power 5G comes in three variants: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. RAM is LPDDR4X, and storage uses UFS 3.1. The phone runs Android 16 with realme UI 7.0. It supports dual nano SIM cards.

For cameras, the phone has a 50MP main rear camera with a 1 by 1.95-inch IMX882 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, and 2-axis OIS. It is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture. Rear video recording goes up to 4K at 30fps. On the front, there is a 16MP Sony IMX480 camera with an f/2.4 aperture and 1080p video support.

Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor, USB Type-C audio, and a single bottom-ported speaker. The phone has IP66, IP68, and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings. It measures 162.26 × 76.15 × 9.08mm and weighs 219g. Connectivity options include 5G SA and NSA support across multiple bands, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS with GLONASS and Beidou. The 10,001mAh battery supports 80W fast charging.

Pricing starts at an effective ₹23,999 with launch offers, going up to ₹28,999 for the top variant. First-sale offers include bank or exchange discounts, no-cost EMI options, and a limited four-year battery warranty.

Casio has officially unveiled the new Pro Trek PRG-69 series, confirming a major design change for its digital outdoor watches. The lineup includes the PRG-69-1, PRG-69-4, and the newly introduced PRG-69B-1. These are the first digital Pro Trek models to move away from a round case, switching to a sharp, angular design inspired by the PRW-6900.

All three models use a solid octagonal case made from flame-retardant, bio-based resin. This material is built for outdoor use and is designed to self-extinguish if exposed to sparks from campfires or cooking flames. The display is protected by a mineral crystal. Case dimensions measure 52.5 × 46.4 × 14.4 mm.

The watches feature Casio’s dual-layer Duplex LCD. The upper layer shows large, color compass graphics, while the lower layer displays the time and sensor data. This layout improves clarity when checking information outdoors. A small dot-matrix sub-display at the top shows the day, date, and barometric pressure trend, keeping the main screen clear.

Each model is equipped with Casio’s Triple Sensor system. This includes a digital compass with 16-point bearing measurement and bidirectional calibration, an altimeter that tracks elevation from minus 700 to 10,000 meters with automatic logging, a barometer with pressure tendency alerts, and a thermometer rated from minus 10°C to 60°C. The compass supports continuous measurement for up to 60 seconds. Power is supplied through Tough Solar charging, using sunlight or indoor light. Multiband 6 radio time calibration is not included.

The differences between the models are mainly visual. The PRG-69-1 comes in an all-black finish. The PRG-69-4 features a black case paired with a bright orange band. Both use soft, bio-based urethane straps. The PRG-69B-1 replaces the urethane strap with a fabric band made from recycled PET fibers and adds gold-accented compass markings on the bezel, giving it a more outdoors-focused look.

Additional features include a high-brightness full-auto LED backlight, known as Super Illuminator, and textured buttons and case surfaces designed for grip, even when wearing gloves.

The PRG-69-1 and PRG-69-4 will launch in Japan later this month, priced at ¥29,700, or about $190. Global availability is expected in March. In Europe, both models are listed for preorder at €200 with a March 20 shipping date. Pricing and availability for the PRG-69B-1 have not been confirmed, but it is expected to fall in the same range.

Xiaomi‘s gaming-focused sub-brand Black Shark is preparing to launch a new gaming tablet in the global market. This new tablet, simply called the Black Shark Gaming Tablet, was teased late last year and has now appeared on the brand’s global website with all of its key specifications and features.

Black Shark Gaming Tablet features

The Black Shark Gaming Tablet uses an 8.8-inch compact design. It weighs 332 g and measures 7.7 mm in thickness. The body is made from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy with laser-finished detailing and will be available in black and silver color options.

At the core is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. The chipset features an octa-core CPU with clock speeds of up to 3.0 GHz and a 40 TOPS NPU. Black Shark claims an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 1.9 million. The tablet runs Android 16 out of the box. Memory is set at 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, paired with 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Storage can be expanded by up to 2 TB using a TF card.

The display uses a 2.5K panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and a 144 Hz refresh rate. It delivers a pixel density of 343 PPI, reaches up to 600 nits of peak brightness, supports the DCI-P3 color gamut, and is factory calibrated with ΔE < 1 color accuracy.

Cooling is handled by a large vapor chamber, multiple graphene sheets, and a metal cooling structure, providing a total thermal material area of 25,176 mm². Black Shark also offers an optional magnetic cooler for enhanced cooling.

Connectivity includes dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.4, and DisplayPort output with support for 4K video. Audio is delivered through symmetrical dual speakers powered by a K9 smart amplifier.

The tablet packs a 7,300 mAh battery, rated for up to 5.6 hours of gaming, 10.3 hours of web browsing, 7 hours of video playback, and up to 76 hours of music playback. Camera hardware includes a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera.

With the tablet now listed globally, an official launch appears to be approaching.

OPPO has launched a monthly Q&A series in its Community forum to address user concerns about ColorOS more directly. The first edition tackles performance issues, battery behavior, and feature questions.

Camera Lag Fix in Progress

The company confirmed that engineers have identified the cause of camera lag affecting some models. A fix is in development, though no release date was provided.

Battery Drain After Updates Explained

Battery drain following system updates was explained as a normal occurrence. After installing a new ColorOS version, the system runs background processes, including app optimization, photo organization, and security scans for approximately three days. This causes higher CPU usage, increased heat, and faster battery consumption. Devices with heavy usage or large app libraries may require more time. OPPO recommends overnight charging with the screen off to accelerate optimization, closing power-hungry apps, and updating all applications.

New Features and Improvements

The Q&A detailed several practical features. Users can reply to calls via SMS by navigating to Contacts > Settings > Answer or End calls, then enabling Reply with SMS. Messages are customizable. The AI Enhance feature works through the Notes app by tapping the plus icon, scanning documents, and selecting AI Enhance.

Private Safe functionality has been upgraded. Users can now search for private images, videos, audio, documents, and other files directly within Private Safe. Files stored there can be shared by selecting the item and using the Share option.

Monthly Format Moving Forward

OPPO plans to continue this monthly format and is collecting user feedback and questions. The initiative marks a shift from lengthy announcements and fragmented forum responses toward consolidated, transparent communication. By addressing common concerns systematically, the company aims to improve user experience and reduce confusion around ColorOS updates and features.
