RAPID CITY, S.D. (KCAU) — Classes at Iowa Lakes Community College (ILCC) will not resume on Wednesday as had been previously announced.

Instead, all activities are being backed up until Thursday to allow the college community to attend the funeral of Carter Johnson, 19, a freshman baseball player killed last week in a bus crash.

Johnson’s service will take place on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Rimrock Evangelical Free Church in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Additionally, a memorial t-shirt is being made in Carter’s honor, with the proceeds going to the Carter “Tater” Johnson Memorial Scholarship.

ILCC officials said all campus offices will still be open on Wednesday.
