2026 Winter Olympics medal count, standings entering February 18
The 2026 Winter Olympics continue on Wednesday morning with another full day of action on the slopes and on the ice. The United States has fallen behind in the medal count but remains one of four nations with more than 20 medals overall at the Milano Cortina Games.
Norway has pulled ahead with 31 total medals (an Olympic-high 14 gold, 8 silver, and 9 bronze), followed by Italy, which boasts 24 medals (9 gold, 4 silver, and 11 bronze).
Team USA checks in at No. 3 in the standings with 21 medals, tied with Germany. The United States holds 6 gold, 10 silver, and five bronze.

On Wednesday, the United States has another opportunity to add to its medal count with Mikaela Shiffrin hitting the slopes in the womenβs slalom.

Shiffrin will be going for gold when the slalom kicks off at 7:00 a.m. ET, while there are also medal events in cross-country, short-track speed skating, and menβs snowboard slopestyle.
