Nvidia is preparing to unveil a major new chip at GTC 2026, according to CEO Jensen Huang. In an interview with the Korea Economic Daily, Huang teased that the company will introduce hardware designed to push current technology to its limits. While he did not share technical details or the official name, he suggested the chip could mark a big step forward in performance and design.

The reveal is scheduled for March 16, 2026, during Huang’s annual GTC keynote in San Jose. Analysts expect Nvidia to focus heavily on its next-generation Vera Rubin architecture, which has been positioned as a key platform for future AI systems. Reports suggest the new chip may use advanced packaging methods aimed at solving memory bottlenecks, one of the biggest challenges in modern AI computing.

Nvidia is also reportedly working closely with SK Hynix on HBM4 memory technology. The goal is to directly stack high-bandwidth memory onto GPU logic dies, a move that could make the chip one of the most complex semiconductor designs ever produced if mass manufacturing succeeds.

Some rumors have mentioned an early preview of Nvidia’s future Feynman architecture, expected later in the decade. This remains unlikely, but speculation continues due to its ambitious roadmap, which includes advanced manufacturing processes and silicon photonics.

Huang also hinted that multiple new chips could be announced at GTC 2026, making the event one of Nvidia’s most closely watched launches in recent years.
