NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, has authorized Apple mobile devices for use with classified information within the organization, according to Apple. This makes the iPhone and the iPad the first (and currently only) consumer devices to meet NATO's software security standards.

The next update to Apple's iOS, namely iOS 26.4, may bring video playback to CarPlay. Code found in the iOS 26.4 beta 1 hints that CarPlay users will be able to watch video on Apple TV and other select apps, but only when their vehicle is parked.
