How to watch Fernando Mendoza, other quarterbacks in the NFL Scouting Combine
The NFL Scouting Combine is almost over in Indianapolis, but members of the offense have yet to workout on the field.
In addition to running backs and wide receivers being interviewed and taking the field Saturday for drills, 16 quarterbacks will throw. Texas football quarterback Arch Manning and Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed did not declare for the NFL Draft, therefore, they will not be in attendance.
Fernando Mendoza, the quarterback that led Indiana to a national championship, will participate in addition to the five SEC quarterbacks. ESPN's NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper, has Mendoza ranked No. 1 in his prospect ranking for his ball placement. Even though Mendoza is a mobile enough quarterback to gain a few first downs, Kiper would label him more as a "scrambler" over a "a dual threat" quarterback.

Mendoza is the highest-rated quarterback in Kiper's rankings by a long shot because the second highest is Alabama's Ty Simpson who is No. 25. Simpson didn't start a game for the Crimson Tide until last season and his inexperience could be a concern, per Kiper, despite a 64.5% completion rate and completing 28 touchdown passes.
Cade Klubnik, the Clemson and Westlake High School quarterback, will also show off his skills in the combine.

Combine schedule Saturday
TEs and DBs bench press before departing from Indianapolis. QBs, RBs and WRs, the third group to arrive to town, have their on-field measurements and workouts and offensive lineman go through a final round of interviews and exams. That means top wideouts and running backs will be running the 40-yard dash and measuring their vertical leaps.
