HotelREZ Expands Its Global Independent-First Platform, Enhancing Luxury Segmentation and Strengthening Market Presence

HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts has announced strong year-end results, marking another milestone in its continuous expansion as a global leader in the independent-first hotel platform. The company has reinforced its position as one of the largest privately held hotel groups globally by key count, further solidifying its commitment to luxury segmentation and scalable delivery.

HotelREZ supports over 2,500 independent hotels, aparthotels, and regional groups worldwide, equating to approximately 222,500 rooms (keys). Of these, 56% of the portfolio, around 1,400 hotels and 124,600 rooms, are fully integrated into the HotelREZ service suite. The company has maintained an exceptional portfolio retention rate of 90% or higher, with several clients staying loyal for over 21 years. HotelREZ continues to operate at a scale comparable to large multinational hotel groups, while maintaining its independent, privately held status and organic growth.

Financial Performance and Operational Success

HotelREZ achieved an 18.6% year-over-year increase in revenue, driven by resilient global travel demand, particularly in the upscale independent hotel sector. The company’s global revenue per available room (RevPAR) rose by 9.8%, boosted by improvements in average daily rate (ADR) and occupancy across multiple regions, all while limiting exposure to specific macroeconomic pressures.

One of the key drivers of this performance was the significant contribution of HotelREZ’s proprietary software-as-a-service (SaaS) distribution system. The company’s global distribution system (GDS) showed strong performance, bolstered by expanded strategic partnerships and increased adoption of its SaaS offerings. The HotelREZ platform grew by 8% this year, reflecting ongoing global momentum and success in organic and reputational expansion.

Luxury Carve-Out and Brand Architecture

HotelREZ has a well-structured brand architecture designed to maintain the independence of its member hotels while offering progression opportunities. The Best Loved Hotels brand provides visibility for independent properties looking to make a mark on the market without being overburdened by rigid brand overlays.

HotelREZ’s Elegant Hotel Collection, a luxury and upscale segment, now includes approximately 350 hotels. This collection is curated for a high-net-worth demographic, offering authentic, independent-led experiences. The collection operates as a performance-driven framework, qualifying properties based on defined positioning and commercial criteria, enhancing their distribution and global demand access. This model enables a clear progression ladder across HotelREZ’s portfolio while ensuring the preservation of each hotel’s independence.

Expanding the Commercial Pipeline

The company’s pipeline for new commercial opportunities remains robust, with key leadership appointments aimed at expanding HotelREZ’s footprint. This expansion encompasses a wide range of regions and hotel segments, including properties under the Elegant Hotel Collection and Best Loved Hotels. These opportunities are separate from HotelREZ’s existing portfolio and will be activated once contracted.

Technology, SaaS, and Scalable Delivery

HotelREZ continues to invest in its proprietary SaaS platform, with strengthened connectivity, data analytics, and automated workflows to support scalable delivery. The company has expanded its near-shore engineering capacity, ensuring ongoing development across global markets. The company’s integrated demand engine, which combines technology, strategic partnerships, and commercial execution, remains central to driving incremental revenue and improving portfolio economics.

Leadership and Geographic Expansion

In support of its expansion strategy, HotelREZ has made senior leadership appointments in key functional areas, including Strategic Deals & Growth, the Americas, Customer Success, Customer Engagement, and Global Brand Marketing. These appointments will further support the company’s growth in Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific, while maintaining the high-quality service delivery that sets HotelREZ apart in the market.

CEO Mark Lewis Reflects on Success

Mark Lewis, CEO of HotelREZ, shared his perspective on the company’s achievements: “With more than 2,500 hotels globally, we’ve created a scaled, independent-first platform focused on measurable performance, quality, service excellence, and disciplined growth. Our ability to adapt and innovate ensures that our hotels remain competitive in an ever-evolving landscape.”

Outlook for Continued Growth

Looking ahead, HotelREZ remains committed to profitable growth for both itself and its members. The company will continue its focus on disciplined adoption, high-retention partnerships, scalable SaaS-driven efficiencies, expanded enterprise program participation, and targeted regional expansion.
