17 draft‑eligible Bulldogs show off at Pro Day in final push before NFL draft
17 Fresno State Bulldogs hoping to hear their names called in next month's NFL draft took the field one more time Monday, using the program's annual Pro Day as a final audition for professional scouts.
With representatives from 16 NFL teams watching from the sideline, each drill and rep functioned as a high-stakes job interview for players chasing a shot at the next level.
Fresno State defensive back Al'Zillion Hamilton said the day brought a personal milestone. "I've been training this whole time and I haven't hit 4-4 this whole time I've been training, so it's good to hear that number," he said.
Players cycled through a series of on-field tests, including the broad jump, shuttle run, and a slate of position-specific drills.
Long snapper Wesley Brown said he was pleased with his performance.
"I thought I did really good in the 5,10,5. I thought I was really fast. The vertical jump I did really good that kind of surprised me, and then I thought I just snapped really well," Brown said.
Families and friends filled sections of the stands to watch, though defensive back Camryn Bracha noted the absence of one of his strongest supporters.
"I lost my grandpa this past week and so I know he was really proud of everything I put into this. I know he's watching over me and bargaining me up in heaven," Bracha said.
Bracha, Hamilton and Jakari Embry were among the defensive backs who showcased their footwork and coverage skills.
One participant reflected on the confidence built during years in the program, saying, "My field drills I felt great. I played a lot of football here. A lot of good coaches have helped me fine-tune myself on the field, so that's where I felt really comfortable."
For seniors, Monday marked not only their last workout together but also a moment to recognize the relationships forged in Fresno.
Jadon Pearson said choosing Fresno State changed his life.
"I really just put a lot of my faith into coming here. It was well worth it. I have a bunch of friends, they'll be at my wedding, I'll be at theirs. Just a bunch of lifelong friends," he said. "The stuff that we were able to do this year, especially on defense, is really special."
"I just hope we left this place better than we found it," he added.
The 2026 NFL Draft begins on April 23rd on ABC30.
