NFL star WR promises to beat Pat Surtain in boxing fight

After another solid season with the Denver Broncos, Pat Surtain II prepares to face new challenges in 2026. The Broncos couldn’t move past the New England Patriots in the AFC championship game, but they made a strong impression and look like solid candidates for the 2026 campaign.

Meanwhile, Surtain enjoys his offseason. However, he might have to take on a different challenge soon. During the boxing event that featured a bout between rapper Blueface and streamer Chibu Dunga, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle issued a challenge to Surtain.

Asked who he would like to fight in the ring, Waddle went with the 2024 Defensive Player of the Year.

“Pat Surtain, I would beat the [expletive] out of him. I’d beat the dog [expletive] out of him,” Waddle said (video is explicit and NSFW). “There are a lot more people, but that’s just top of my mind. I’d beat the dog [expletive] out of bro.”

As strong as the message was, there is no doubt that Waddle was joking about his former teammate. He spent three years with the cornerback at Alabama (from 2018-20), before they entered the leagues with different AFC teams.

Waddle’s 2025 season was full of ups and downs. He played 16 games, catching 64 passes for 910 yards and six touchdowns. As for Surtain, he played 14 games, posting 47 tackles and one interception. They will enter the 2026 campaign with different expectations but hungry to make a difference for their respective teams.
