Samsung Art Store debuts exclusive collection from SFMOMA

Samsung has partnered with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) to bring famous modern artworks to people’s homes through the Samsung Art Store. This partnership makes SFMOMA the first museum from the West Coast of the United States to join the Samsung Art Store platform.

With this collaboration, Samsung TV users can display famous artworks from SFMOMA’s collection directly on their TV screens. These artworks allow people to turn their living rooms into small art galleries.

Some of the artworks now available include The Flower Carrier (1935) by Diego Rivera, Femme au chapeau (1905) by Henri Matisse, Display Cakes (1963) by Wayne Thiebaud, Guardians of the Secret (1943) by Jackson Pollock, and New York City 2 (1941) by Piet Mondrian.

Samsung Art Store is a subscription service where users can choose from thousands of artworks and show them on their TVs when they are not watching movies or shows. The service already includes more than 5,000 artworks from over 800 artists and works with many famous museums around the world.

Samsung’s Art TVs, including The Frame and The Frame Pro, are specially designed to display artwork realistically. These TVs have technology that shows accurate colors and clear details, so the artwork looks close to the original painting.

The Frame Pro model also offers a brighter and sharper Neo QLED 4K display. It comes with a wireless connection box that helps keep cables hidden, giving the room a clean and simple look. Through this partnership with SFMOMA, Samsung aims to make famous artworks easier for people around the world.
