Philips has introduced a new smart kitchen device aimed at simplifying everyday cooking for Indian households. Called the Philips OneChef, the appliance combines several cooking techniques into a single compact system.

Philips OneChef: Smart all-in-one cooking appliance

The Philips OneChef was unveiled at a Mumbai event titled “Chef’s Tasting Table,” curated by chef Ranveer Brar, where live cooking demos showcased dishes from across India. Brar and Gulbahar Taurani demonstrated how modern kitchen appliances can simplify complex recipes while preserving traditional flavours. The event also included a discussion with Farah Khan and Rajiv Makhni on how smart appliances are shaping the future of home cooking.

OneChef is designed as a multi-purpose cooking appliance that combines 33 cooking functions into a single device. It can handle several cooking methods commonly used in Indian kitchens, including air frying, stir frying, steaming, and boiling. This approach helps reduce the need for multiple appliances while making the cooking process easier for everyday meals and festive dishes.

At the core of the appliance is Philips’ AmbiHeat technology, which focuses on even heat distribution and intelligent temperature control. The system monitors cooking conditions and adjusts heat levels depending on the dish being prepared. This allows the appliance to maintain consistent texture and flavor across different recipes. Philips has also equipped the device with intuitive controls and guided cooking programs that help users prepare a variety of dishes with minimal effort.

Philips OneChef: Price and availability

The Philips OneChef will go on sale in India starting March 19. The appliance carries a best buy price of Rs 19,995 (~$215). It will be available through leading retail stores and online platforms, including Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, Amazon, and Flipkart.
