K-State T&F Daniela Wamokpego joins K-Nation
MANHATTAN (KSNT) β The 2026 NCAA Track & Field Indoor triple jump national champion joins K-Nation.
The junior triple jumper, Daniela Wamokpego, jumped a 13.84 meters in the triple jump to clinch first place.
βI saw the 13.84 and was like oh number one? Thatβs nice,β Wamokpego said. βI didnβt really mind the place. I just saw the 13.84 and was just happy just because of that.β
With her sixth and final jump, Wamokpego set a new school record and is the first K-State womenβs national champion since the 2016 season.
The Meaux, France native is in her first season with the Wildcats. After her sophomore season, Wamokpego transferred from Iowa after spending two seasons competing for the Hawkeyes.
