Google starts fixing Android Auto connection issue on Galaxy devices

Many Samsung Galaxy phone users have recently had problems with Android Auto. Some Galaxy phones would not connect to the car, while others kept showing messages saying the phone must be unlocked first. The issue affected both wired USB connections and wireless connections.

The exact cause of the problem is not known, but some Galaxy users think it may have started after a recent software update. Google says the company is aware of the issues and is now rolling out fixes.

Galaxy users should check the Google Play Store to make sure the Android Auto app is up to date. Updating the phone’s software can also help. These updates should make Android Auto connect properly again.

Google Pixel users have also experienced similar problems. Many Pixel owners noticed Android Auto would not connect after the March update or would ask them to unlock the phone first.Β Once the updates reach all users, Android Auto should start working normally again.

For both Galaxy and Pixel users, these connection problems have been frustrating, mainly for those who rely on Android Auto every day. The best way to avoid problems is to keep the app and phone updated.

Google’s rollout of fixes means that drivers can soon expect Android Auto to connect reliably and safely again. Stay tuned for more information.
