Samsung releases Bixby 4.0 with new features, updates Voice Wake-up
Samsung just silently introduced Bixby 4.0, and the rollout has already begun for the Galaxy S26 series users. Samsung is also upgrading the Voice Wake-up utility, which backs the wake phrase functionality on Galaxies.
Samsung Bixby 4.0 is here
The Samsung Bixby 4.0 focuses on making conversations feel more natural, reducing the need for rigid commands. The assistant responds in a smoother, human-like way, reducing the friction that comes with voice interactions.
Another key improvement is context awareness, allowing Bixby to remember previous parts of a conversation. This means users can follow up naturally without repeating details, making longer interactions feel connected and consistent.
Bixby 4.0 also expands its ability to provide info on demand, answering a wide range of queries without precise phrasing. It can pull relevant results quickly, whether for general knowledge, recommendations, or local searches.
It improves usability with device help and multi-step actions, enabling users to solve issues or complete tasks in one go. Commands like setting reminders and adding directions to calendar events now feel simpler and faster.
Voice Wake-up is getting updated
Regarding the Voice Wake-up update, Samsung says (via Salian) the new version has improved stability and overall performance based on user feedback. Galaxy S26 users who have received the two updates can give the new Bixby a try.
