What to know about Cameron Young’s wife Kelsey Dalition before Masters finish

Professional golfer Cameron Young is on a roll.

The Players Championship winner surged to a share of the lead at the Masters with a 7-under-par 65 on Saturday, April 11. The world’s No. 3-ranked golfer gained eight strokes on defending champion Rory McIlroy. The pair is tied at 11-under par and will play together during Sunday’s final round.

Young and McIlroy tee off at 2:25 p.m. ET Sunday. Sam Burns and Shane Lowry sit one and two shots back, respectively.

“It’s just kind of a matter of keeping myself in it tomorrow and doing the best I can to stay around the lead for as long as possible, and you see what happens at the end,” Young said after Saturday’s round, per PGATour.com.

The 28-year-old Young has been a rising star since winning PGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 2022. But even before then, Young had plenty of support at home from his wife, Kelsey Dalition. A People magazine profile revealed the couple has known each other all their lives.

“I played hockey for her dad and with her brother,” Young said. “They’re not a golf family at all so Kelsey is kind of still learning the ropes.

“It’s actually great for me, because the last thing I want to do when I get home is answer questions like, ‘Why’d you pull a 9-iron on 16?’ That would make my head explode, so that’s been a blessing.”

Young and Dalition grew up just north of New York City. They didn’t start dating, though, until they were both students at Wake Forest.

It was a short courtship. The couple married on March 6, 2021, when Young was 23 years old.

Now, Cameron and Kelsey have three children: Henry, John and Vivienne. The family lives in Jupiter, Florida.

The whole crew enjoyed a heartwarming moment after Young won The Players on March 15, per the Golf Channel. It was Young’s second career victory on the PGA Tour.

“None of this is possible without my wife Kelsey and my family,” he said. “She works incredibly hard on all of our behalf. I mean, it’s constant. They travel all the time, so she holds up that part of it at home, and does it all on my behalf, so I can go do my job and chase my dreams.”

Young’s father, David, said having a young family has centered the golfer.

“There’s another part of his life now that’s not attached to how well he plays every day,” David Young said in a Town & Country profile. “It’s been a joy to him and we’ve seen that in his personality.”

The final round of the Masters will be televised on CBS beginning at 2 p.m. ET Sunday and streamed on Paramount+ and Masters.com at noon ET Sunday.
