USC WBB Secures First Transfer Portal Commitment

USC womenβs basketball reportedly signed UC Davis guard Ryann Bennett from the transfer portal on Wednesday, according to Ryan Kartje of the Los Angeles Times.
Bennett is the Trojansβ first transfer commitment of the offseason. She will join USC as a junior with two years of NCAA eligibility remaining.

What Does Bennett Bring to USC?
The 5-foot-8 guard spent the first two seasons of her career with at UC Davis, where she appeared in all 67 games for the Aggies across both seasons. As a sophomore, she started in all 34 games and led the team with 15.3 points per game and 54 total steals.
Bennett was a 2024-25 Big West All-Freshman Team selection then a 2025-26 All-Big West Second Team selection this season.

The Long Beach, California native will be returning closer to home and reuniting with former teammate and current USC guard Kennedy Smith. Bennett and Smith played on theΒ EYBLΒ circuit with Cal Sparks together, according to 247Sports.
Bennett is joining a stacked USC roster for the 2026-27 season. The Trojans have the nationβs No. 1 recruiting class of 2026 and will have reigning National Freshman Player of the Year, Jazzy Davidson, returning for her sophomore season.
The biggest piece of the 2026-27 roster will be superstar JuJu Watkins, who missed all of the 2025-26 season recovering from an ACL tear she suffered in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
The Trojans exited in the second round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament but are considered frontrunners to win the national championship next season.
