Leak reveals One UI 9.5 may launch with Galaxy S27
Seems like Samsung is already working on the One UI 9.5, and the Galaxy S27 series will ship with this new software iteration.
Leaked information suggests that the One UI 9.5 is being prepared internally, and itβs shaping up to make its official debut with Samsungβs Galaxy S27 lineup in 2027.
Samsung today started the public rollout of the One UI 8.5 update. The software has been in the beta testing phase since last December. Itβs based on Android 16 and succeeded the One UI 8.0, which released with Z7 series foldables.
The Korean tech giant is also working on Android 17-based One UI 9. This version will likely arrive with the Galaxy Z8 series this July. We are expecting a Beta Program for the Galaxy S26 series in the next couple of weeks.
One UI 9.5 is something far from the future. Its rollout looks almost a year away from today for the Galaxy S26 series. Its official debut would only happen in the first quarter of the next year, in line with the 2027 flagship phones.
One UI 7.0 got no mid-cycle refresh due to its delayed timeline. One UI 8 is where Samsung has stabilized its software numbering. The first release was also tagged with foldables, taking away from the Galaxy S series.
Galaxy S26 series was released this March with One UI 8.5. Based on the rollout pattern, Samsung is highly likely to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 with Android 17-based One UI 9 and Galaxy S27 with One UI 9.5.
