Galaxy Store Discover Tab launches in the UK after its initial US release
After debuting in the US market earlier, the Galaxy Store Discover Tab is now rolling out for Galaxy users in the UK, giving Samsung’s app marketplace a more curated, editorial-style layer.
Rollout of the Discover Tab in the UK matters because Samsung has been trying to position Galaxy Store as more than a secondary app repository sitting behind the Play Store.
The company wants tighter ecosystem engagement, particularly around games, exclusive promotions, and partner-driven content discovery. This expansion closes an obvious regional gap after the feature’s initial US launch.
The new Discover Tab is designed to surface apps and games through curated recommendations, featured placements, and editorial picks instead of relying solely on standard search rankings or category browsing.

Samsung is framing it as a way for users to find “must-download” content, though the real strategy sits deeper in engagement and retention. The new Discover Tab gives Galaxy Store a more content-led interface.
The tab will highlight exclusive in-app offers and promotions available through Galaxy Store. That remains one of Samsung’s strongest incentives for keeping users inside its own app market rather than the Google Play Store.
Samsung is positioning the Discover Tab as a communication layer between publishers and Galaxy users. Developers can push seasonal updates, live events, collaborations, and promotional campaigns through curated placements inside the storefront.
