Liverpool look towards rival Premier League goalkeeper to replace club legend Alisson
Liverpool could be heading into a significant goalkeeping decision this summer, with Aston Villa star Emiliano Martinez emerging as a possible target if Alisson Becker leaves Anfield.
The Brazilian has been one of Liverpool’s most influential players since arriving from Roma in 2018, but fresh reports claim Juventus are pushing to bring him to Serie A.
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool are assessing Martinez as part of their contingency planning, with the Reds aware that Alisson is entering the final year of his contract.
Juventus’ interest has added urgency to the situation, and Liverpool appear unwilling to be caught unprepared if their long-serving No.1 decides to move on.
Alisson Becker could be heading out of Liverpool

However, the situation around his future has become more delicate, with talkSPORT reporting that Juventus have made him a key target while Liverpool face pressure to keep hold of an experienced figure during a period of squad change.
That is where Martinez enters the picture. The Argentina international has built a strong reputation at Aston Villa, not only through his Premier League performances but also through his success with Argentina, including the 2022 World Cup.
His personality, command of the penalty area and ability to perform in high-pressure moments would make him a natural candidate for a club of Liverpool’s size.
From Liverpool’s perspective, Martinez would bring immediate experience rather than a long-term project.
