Galaxy XR Glasses, Watch 9 and Fold8 Wide to join Fold 8, Flip 8 at July Unpacked

Samsung is preparing one of its busiest Unpacked events in recent years. The company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, Watch 9, Watch Ultra 2, and its first smart glasses product during the July 22 launch event in London.

According to SEDaily, Samsung is almost certain to launch Galaxy XR Glasses and Fold8 Wide model alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, and Watch 9 at its London Unpacked this July.

Samsung is experimenting with a wider outer display instead of the narrow Fold design it has followed for generations. The move appears aimed at solving one of the most common complaints around book-style foldables.

The wider layout could make the external screen feel more like a conventional smartphone. Apple is widely rumored to be preparing foldable iPhone, and Samsung wants to reinforce its lead before new competition enters the foldable market.

Alongside the foldables, Samsung may finally introduce its long-rumored smart glasses project, reportedly called Galaxy Glasses. The wearable is said to be developed in partnership with Google and eyewear brand Gentle Monster.

Samsung is said to rely on Android XR and Gemini AI to deliver voice-based assistance and real-time contextual features.

The Galaxy Watch9 series is also expected to debut during the event, although current leaks remain focused primarily on the foldables and XR hardware.
